SERVICES CATALOGUE INTRODUCTION

WHAT IS IT

The Services Catalogue of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria is aimed at fostering the creation of relationships between the Chamber and its clients (Companies, Public Administration) in full respect of transparent and clear parameters. The Catalogue defines the activities in support of companies’ and Italian territories’ internationalization describing management and supply principles. Although it is not complete, the Catalogue offers to companies and Public Administration an overview of services and their costs. However, these prices are to be considered as an average reference values and they cannot be a substitute at specific quote which will be provide at the moment of requesting the service.

WHO ARE

The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria is a private, independent and non-profit association, registered among the Courthouse of Sofia and recognized by Italian Government with decree of the Ministry of Economic Development in accordance with the law n.518/70 (Re-arrangement of Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad). It was founded in 2001 under the name of “Italy-Bulgaria Association” thanks to the willingness of some Italian and Bulgarian businessmen, following the increase of commercial interchange between these two Countries and the consequent need of a greater support to companies involved in an important phase of commercial, economic and cultural relations development. With the increase of bilateral relationships, in 2003 the Association changed into the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria with the ambition of creating a structure actively fostering and satisfying the needs of associated companies, providing all companies, Associations and entities interested into entering Bulgarian market with services. In 2003 the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria entered the worldwide Association of Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad, Assocamerestero, whose mission is to promote the development of commercial interchanges in the world and being the point of reference for both entrepreneurs and Italian institutions dealing with internationalization. The Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad (ICCA) are associations, Italians and local companies, composed by entrepreneurs and professionals, born and developed traditionally in the most important Italian places in the world , officially recognized by the Italian Government in accordance with the law of 1.7.1970, n. 518 and they are an integral part of the Chambers of Commerce based in Italy (Legislative Decree n.23 of 15/02/2010). The network nowadays is composed of 78 Chambers, based in 55 Countries with 140 offices and over 18.000 associated companies, 88% of them are local companies that are working or interested into Italian market. Joining in this network allow not only to increase considerably Chamber’s activity but also to exchange information, experiences and opportunities with all system of the Italian Chambers of Commerce and with other ICCA around the world, throughout electronic system Pla.net which create the gathering of all professional and companies belongs to each ICCA into a large international network. Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria is, therefore, a strategic partner for those who want to face the possibilities of internationalization their own business, not only in the Italian and Bulgarian markets in a safe and efficient way. The strengths of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, composed of a dynamic and professional trilingual team divided into different areas of specialization (fairs and trade exhibitions, promotional events and communication, specialized consulting and assistance to SME and desk members, European projects and training services) assuring full support requested from companies interested in both markets, are briefly:   

Apart from responsibilities and competencies of the Secretary General and the Deputy Secretary-General, each human resource is responsible of the management and coordination of each department. In fact, CCB hosts 4 departments: “Promotion Fairs, Trade Exhibitions and Events” “SMEs Assistance and Consulting, Desk members”, “PR, Marketing and Communication – Social Media & Branding, SEO”, “International Cooperation - Observatory on Structural Funds and European Programs”. ICCB has also two meeting rooms of different sizes available to associates and partners, provided with all the necessary equipment to conduct business meetings within the association. The business community associated with the Chamber of Commerce is mainly composed of Bulgarian companies and Bulgarian-law companies managed and administered by Italian entrepreneurs, Italian companies resident in Italy interested into Bulgarian market and / or already active with local partnerships. Sectors represented by them stretch from footwear to pharmaceuticals, from hospitality to banking, from transportation and logistics to insurance field and whose business activities are related to consulting, production, marketing products.

HOW WE OPERATE

The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria keep contacts and institutional relations with the main Italian and Bulgarian Authorities, Institutions and public administration, including Italian Embassy in Sofia, ICE Office in Sofia Agency for Promotion Abroad and Internationalization of Italian Companies, Italian Cultural Institute in Sofia, Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria, Governmental Agencies - InvestBulgaria and Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency, Sofia Investment Agency belongs to Sofia Municipality, the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Rome, the General Consulate of Bulgaria in Milan, Honorary Consulates of Bulgaria in Italy. Moreover ICCB works in close cooperation with the wide network of Italian Chambers of Commerce in Italy, those based in Bulgaria and with the network of Bilateral Chambers of Commerce on Bulgarian territory. In addition, ICCB works with all the private and public entities active in SMEs internationalization field: Regions, Municipalities, Trade Associations, Trade Fairs, Consortia, Cooperatives, Business Networks, Industrial districts, Banks, international organizations. Over the years, cooperation agreements and Memorandum of Understandings were concluded with more local partners (see in “partners” section of ICCB website), including Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Plovdiv and others located in the territory, Governmental Promotion Agency for SMEs, Bulgarian Investment Agency, some Sectorial and Foreign Bi-Nationals Chambers, associations such as the Bulgarian Industrial Association and the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria. A constant increase of information, resulting from the creation of this huge partners network, allows multiplying contacts and developing new economic and commercial opportunities between companies of both Countries.

OUR TARGETS

In general, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria respond to the following objectives: -

Promote and support initiatives aimed to increasing economic, political, social and cultural interchange between Italy and Bulgaria; Support SMEs internationalization and the promotion of Made in Italy in Bulgaria; Promote economic, social, training and technical assistance activities.

Specific objectives are: To help customer throughout free of charge services and charged ones, such as first guide information about a single business, specific support, placement and consolidation strategies into foreign market for Italian companies, as well as support for the local ones who want to cooperate with Italian SMEs. To organize match-making events and activities in order to give the chance of meeting foreign counterparts to introduce production, technology, business cooperation proposals. To promote and value Italian territory excellences, spreading the peculiarities and know-how throughout the realization of trade missions, incoming mission of companies and foreign operators directly in the areas where Italian companies operate. To provide competencies about how to work in the Country, throughout targeted training to single company and/or expert or throughout Internship programs in collaboration with the most important Italian and foreign Universities. To promote a systematic innovation process directs to guarantee that all public and private individuals operating in Bulgaria have an adequate capacity for development and permanent adaptation to the evolutionary dynamism characterizing Structural Funds and other EU Programs, in a view of sustainable development. To provide assistance and advice on European funding and projects throughout a series of services such as: Information and Monitoring on EU Policies and Opportunities, Planning Consultancy (identification of relevant European programs, partner research, drafting of project proposal, delivery of Documentation to the Institution, follow up of the submitted proposals); Project management (project management, relations with the European Commission, managing authorities and project partners); European tenders (information and monitoring, support for participation in European tenders); Representation (participation in events International organizations on behalf of applicants, logistics) and specific services for local authorities, trade associations (organizing local events and seminars on EU issues). The service can be provided either on 1) the board of the trade fair interested to promote your own event/s on the Bulgarian and Italian territories and on 2) request from companies to have information on the event/s. In case the company requires additional services to realize their participation at the fairs, will be prepared an estimate ad hoc. For some merchandise categories, data availability may be lower than the values specified in the service description. Lists containing a small number of companies are, however, the ones that involve the greatest effort of research. 2.
