The sun is shining. Music is playing. The smell of strawberries is in the air. Greg Martinez is a greengrocer at the farmers' market in New York City. He is selling fresh fruit and vegetables he grows on his farm - potatoes, apples, lettuce and carrots. People are walking by-looking, tasting and buying. Why do many people go to the farmers' market? The food is fresh and tastes great. The lovely smell is everywhere. Farmers' markets often have many new and different kinds of foods. For example, there are white potatoes, yellow potatoes, and even purple potatoes! The prices are good, too. Also many shoppers like to talk to the farmers about the food they grow. It's fun to go a farmers' market!
