Comprehensive test n° 1

Teacher: Mrs. Hayfa Ben Brahim December 2010

I. Reading: Imen: Sonia can you tell me about a typical school day in your school? Sonia: Well, I take the bus to school at half past eight and we have an assembly in the school hall for 10 minutes, then we go to our classrooms. At 9 o’clock lessons begin. Imen: What subjects do you take? Sonia: Today, I’ve got History from 9 to 10. Then, I’ve got Geography. Then, we have a break for a quarter of an hour. After break we’ve got drama until lunch. We have lunch in the dining hall. It lasts from half past twelve to half past one. In the afternoon, we’ve got biology in the lab and then French. I love French! We finish school at half past three, but I usually stay after school for an hour to work in the computer room or play the violin in the school orchestra. Imen: What are the subjects you like? Sonia: I like a lot of subjects. My favourites are Information technology and French. I’m quite good at them and I like music. I play in the school orchestra. Imen: And what don’t you like about school? Sonia: I don’t like maths very much, and I’m not really interested in physics. I hate the school uniform. It’s obligatory in English schools. It’s so boring. I wear the same clothes everyday.
