Tab. 1: PRODUCT CERTIFICATION FOR THE “EU” MARKET Directive Directive 2004/108/EC “Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)” Directive 2006/95/EC “Voltage limits”

Description This Directive regulates the compatibility of equipment regarding EMC. One of the objectives of this Directive is to guarantee the free movement of apparatus and to create an acceptable electromagnetic environment in the Community territory.

This Directive specifies the safety objectives for electrical equipment designed for use within certain voltage limits.

Camozzi situation Compulsory Directive applied to all electrical and/or electronic products.

Directive 2002/95/EC “RoHS”

This Directive regulates the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

Compulsory Directive applied to all electrical products designed for use with a voltage rating of 50 to 100V AC or 75 to 1500V DC. Optional Directive applied to the following Camozzi products: • Cylinders: Series 16, 24, 25, 27, 31, 32, 40, 41, 42, 60, 61, 62, QP, QPR, ARP. • Valves: Series A, 3, 4, Namur, 9, E, K, W, P, Y, 2 and basic logic valves. • FRL: Series MC, M and N • Solenoids: Series U70 and H80 (explosion-proof). • Magnetic proximity switches: Series CST and CSV, CSH • Pressure switches: Series PM. • Accessories: Silencers, brackets, fittings, quick-release couplings, manifolds, sub-bases, mounting foot brackets, foot brackets, taps, plates , automatic valves, and connectors. Camozzi products are exempt from this Directive , however, Camozzi can provide a declaration stating the compatibility with the requirements of the Directive

Directive 2002/96/EC “WEEE”

This Directive regulates the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment.

Camozzi products are exempt from this Directive.

Directive 2006/121/EC

This Directive amends Council Directive 67/548/EEC on the approximation of laws, regulations and administrative provisions relating to the classification, packaging and labelling of dangerous substances in order to adapt it to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.

Compulsory Directive applied to all Camozzi products.

Directive 94/9/EC “Atex”

This Directive specifies the safety requirements concerning equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
