Executive Summary: Lack of inventory of available homes and higher mortgage rates contributed to a reduction in Huntington Beach home sales in March 2018 compared to a year earlier. However, other indicators for the Huntington Beach Real Estate Market (Price per Square Foot, Average Price, and Days on Market) showed improvement in March compared to the same period last year. Homes sold quickly, for a higher average price, and buyers also "paid more per square footage" than last year. Compared to the same period last year, Total Sales were down 7.5%, Average Sale Price was up 6.9%, Total Price Per Square Foot was up 2.3% and Total Average Days on Market fell from 49 to 37 days. Homes Sold: In March 2018, the entire Huntington Beach market saw a total of 149 houses, townhomes, and condos sold… There were 90 detached properties sold and 59 attached homes sold.
