Welcome
Morning 042 Bus Firstly, thank you to those of you who emailed me giving examples of the non performance of the morning 042 bus. It is clear why patronage has declined as it has, namely, because of a service that has been substantially less than optimal in terms of reliability. I have forwarded all your emails to Auckland Transport. As an aside, the 042 service is operated by NZ Bus under authority of Auckland Transport (AT). While the school promotes the use of this bus, we have no authority or responsibility for the operation of this service. However, we will continue to make representations to AT in an attempt to make the service one that parents can have confidence in. If you have a complaint: You can log a complaint directly with AT either on line or by phone through the contact centre. That way you will be given a call tracking number and AT are obligated to follow up a response. Auckland Transport Customer Service Centre Phone 355 3553 (24 hours, 7 days a week) Or Fill out the feedback form at: www.at.govt.nz/about-us/contact-us/feedback-form/ Or the Maxx website feedback form at: www.maxx.co.nz/feedback.aspx?pageurl=/ Principal on the Morning 042

While I fully appreciate I am not quite the draw cards of either Max or Miss Rawstron with her guitar and singing ability, I will be on the 042 bus morning service this Wednesday 18 June.

40kph Traffic Signs Unfortunately, the two 'school zone signs' in Aberdeen Road are not always in operation before and after school. This is, mostly, because the signs are broken. As the signs are not the responsibility of the school, all we can do is alert Auckland Transport (AT) that the signs are not working. After we have notified AT, they then notify their contractor. This process appears to take some time.
NSW Test Papers If you have borrowed a test paper for your child to practice with before the testing takes place, please return them to the school office straight away. These practice papers are only intended to be at home for 24 hours for your child to view and practice. At present, all the papers have ‘disappeared’ and we have children who are waiting to view them before the tests. The test papers cost the school $16 per paper and if people don’t return them to the school office, we will have to place a charge on the papers if you wish to take them home.
