We have information and resources on a variety of health topics including safer sex, stress, sleep, alcohol and other drugs, tobacco, body image, and more!

For those who don’t know, the Office of Health Promotion provides knowledge, tools, and resources to help you make informed decisions about your health. We strive to eliminate health disparities, provide inclusive and culturally competent services, and enhance the health of everyone on campus to the best of our abilities. We are located at the Drop In Center, just between the Student Center and Science Hall. Students help staff the Drop In Center, which typically makes students feel more comfortable when stopping by with any concerns, questions, or need for resources. Our team is always eager to help the Montclair State community by encouraging safe and healthy lifestyles. The Office of Health Promotion offers a variety of resources that are available for all students to take when needed. We have information and resources on a variety of health topics including safer sex, stress, sleep, alcohol and other drugs, tobacco, body image, and more! While we are not counselors, we do offer brief one-on-one conversations for those who are looking for health-related information or simply someone to talk to. We are here to help in any way we can! Currently, we offer Mindfulness Meditation virtually every Monday from 12 - 1 p.m. This workshop helps students better connect with themselves and increase focus by calming their minds. Our Take and Make DIY crafts are a great way for you to take a break throughout the day and unwind. We offer a new craft every two weeks during the semesters. Additionally, Recovery Room is held virtually on Tuesdays from 3 - 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. It is an informal group for students who are looking to explore their relationship with alcohol and/or drugs or self-identify as in recovery. We offer resources and peer support in a safe and affirming environment on campus. The Health Promotion team hopes to help create a positive experience at Montclair State. Your health and well-being is important to us. We hope you will take advantage of our services, or just stop in to say hi.
