The Camp Zama community is celebrating the 243rd Anniversary of the U.S. Declaration of Independence on Saturday, June 29, 3-9 p.m. at the Yano Fitness Center Field. Join us for some feature entertainment by “Jared & The Mill” along with youth and family activities, military static displays, awesome food and beverages, a patriotic Salute to the Nation, and of course; a spectacular fireworks show to cap off the evening!

Junking Vehicle Service Our process consists of picking up the vehicle if it cannot be driven, and bringing the vehicle to the junk yard. We then return the license plates, base decal paperwork and guarantee you’ll receive all Yen from the junk yard handed to the Auto Skills Center employee. Unfortunately we do not go to LTO for you, sorry. *Please Note: The Yen received from the junkyard is determined by the cost of steel at that time, therefore we cannot advertise a figure.

Services • Used Vehicle Courtesy Inspection We offer a 20-point courtesy inspecting for soldiers and eligible Camp Zama Personnel who are considering the purchase or resale of a used vehicle. This inspecting is to help assess the condition of the vehicle before buying or selling. Inspections are done by appointments only. • Vehicle Detailing Our detailing service consists of a basic wash and wax of the outside only with tire waxing included. There is an additional cost for cleaning the interior. During WWII, the Kure Naval District was Japan’s single largest naval base and arsenal, housing most of the city’s industry and workforce employed in the service of naval installations, munitions factories and other support functions.
