LOOKBOOK Spring Summer 2025

INTRODUCTION

“Building on the excitement of 2024 and our 60th anniversary, we’re thrilled to introduce three inspiring trend stories for Spring Summer 2025.

Modest Luxury, Nordic Botanist, and Marvellous Memphis - each bring a unique, stylish perspective to modern living spaces. The new trends offer something for everyone, from understated minimalism to bold, expressive looks. Our talented design and product development teams have made it easier than ever to mix and match pieces, creating thoughtful updates that suit your space and style.

This season, there’s a big spotlight on versatile, small-scale and affordable items that make a big impact in the home. We’ve extended our range of occasional furniture and refreshed our lighting collection, with a special focus on affordable, statement lighting created by our in-house designers. Home fragrance continues to be incredibly popular with our customers, so we’ve expanded our offering even further with a variety of new scents. Outdoor furniture pieces are also setting the stage for a summer of al-fresco living, our range offers new in-house designs alongside colour extensions to popular styles.”

Habitat is widely available online at Habitat.co.uk and Argos.co.uk, as well as selected Argos and Sainsbury’s stores.

MODEST luxury

This trend story embraces refined and elegant minimalism, focused on elevating the everyday. Understated designs, combined with sophisticated material pairings such as dark wood furniture, brushed metal and marbled ceramics bring a subtle opulence to a timeless space. With a palette of muted tones and rich textures, each piece invites a quiet sense of luxury that can be integrated effortlessly into the home, allowing the materials and finishes to speak for themselves.

Scent of the season: Oak & Fallen Acorn Fragrance starting from £5 across candles, diffusers and incense

PATTERN STORY: marbled ceramics

“Marble’s timeless appeal ensures it never goes out of style. New for SS25, we’ve introduced a collection of ceramic tableware for those who like to be more daring with their table settings. The new range has been hand-crafted using a glazed technique that renders each piece unique, adding an artisanal touch to the dinner table.”

Kate Gibson, Habitat Head of Buying - Tabletop

MATERIAL MATTERS: tactility and texture

“We have continued to work in the rich materials of walnut and mango wood, exploring distinctive grains and dark tones. Walnut and mango wood offer a sophisticated quality that complements both luxe and mid-century aesthetics. We have continued to create new collections of furniture and accessories in this rich and enduring wood to bring a feeling of warmth to living spaces, adding textural details such as ribbing, turned wood lighting and exposed joinery to elevate dining and coffee tables in the range.”

NORDIC botanist

Perfect for the transition into spring, the Nordic Botanist trend story signals the arrival of longer days and warmer temperatures. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, this curated trend brings together over scale botanical prints with Scandinavian inspired pattern, created by our in-house design studio. Layering chunky stripes allows for a more timeless look whilst scalloped edge forms embrace lighting, tableware, mirrors and frames.

TREND ALERT: scalloped edges

“Scallop inspired forms are all over social media at the moment and sparking the revival of nostalgic, 70s inspired decor. We’ve introduced new lighting designed by Tom, our Senior Lighting Designer, in a warm burgundy colour palette to bring the trend into homes this season. Starting at £50, the range of wall lighting, floor and table lamps add a statement centrepiece to a room, even when unlit.”

“Our chunky, hand-painted stripe ceramics are both timeless and modern. The stripe trend is here to stay and is perfect for lazy Sunday mornings, alfresco dining and nods towards traditional country values which can be layered beautifully when tablescaping with other pieces. We have incorporated the stripe on a series of kitchen textiles and runners to create a truly artisan statement in the home this summer.”

MARVELLOUS memphis

This trend story leans on our rich distinctive design portfolio and statement Habitat DNA. Bringing playfulness and personality to the home with bold, sculptural shapes and abstract designs. As this curated trend name suggests, we have drawn inspiration from the Memphis design movement, also known as Memphis Milano, which celebrated new ideas in design across the early 1980s. Mixed materials like corduroy, powder-coated metals and terrazzo are spotlighted for tactility and visual intrigue while handblown coloured glass accents elevate the style, making living and dining spaces dynamic and lively.

Scent of the season: Amber & Sandalwood Peach Fragrance starting from £7 across candles

TREND ALERT: coloured glass

“Using borosilicate glass with colour pops and contrasting handles bring a new edge to home accessories and tableware. Hand-blown in form, they bring together craftsmanship and fashion to the home this season. Our in-house design and product development teams are working closely to explore new finishes and techniques across glassware including checkerboard designs and hues of primary colours across lighting. When the lighting is lit, the room is flooded with colour and leans on the continued love for dopamine decor in the home.”

“Powder-coated metal across occasional furniture allows us to bring vibrancy into the home and celebrate colour in spaces that deserve an extra colour pop of attention. Flexible living spaces have grown in demand as we use our homes as everchanging spaces depending on our needs and mood. The industrial look is back with an injection of bright hues that bring a playfulness and assertiveness to rooms whilst delivering uniquely designed storage solutions by our in-house designer Harvey Mckeller. As a young rental home user, Mckeller has explored how practical and space saving pieces can be combined with accessible, colourful and joyful design.”

Cushions, throws and rugs are an easy way to make subtle colour changes and bring warmth to living areas through the use of different textures, while new home fragrances offer an easy way of signalling a change in mood or season. “Outdoor spaces are increasingly seen as an extension of our interiors, often treated as an extra room to style. Our latest outdoor collections include 13 new in-house designs crafted to transform patios, gardens, balconies, and terraces into stylish retreats usable all year round.

Building on the popularity of accent pieces, we’ve expanded our range of statement occasional tables and seating to add character and flexibility to outdoor areas. In line with evolving trends, we’re also moving away from grey tones, embracing bolder shades and natural shades to create vibrant, inviting outdoor spaces.”

TRENDING: outdoor accessories

“We set out to create a range of outdoor products that evoke refined opulence, influenced by grandeur boutique hotels, giving the collection a seasonless feel with longevity. Heritage-rich, bold, over-scaled classic stripes provide a contemporary edge, while tones of deep green, rust and pink offer a nod to 1920s luxury hotels. Softened edges add an element of simplicity while hosting summer get togethers.”
