Found MUJI is an ongoing collection of traditional homewares that have inspired MUJI products. MUJIs team travels the globe in order to source well-made products from locations as diverse as France, India, Germany, Ecuador, and Thailand. The Found MUJI series exhibits a range of products that exemplify the cultural and historical uniqueness of each region. Inspired by Swedish history, culture and design, Found MUJI Sweden hosts a wide range of lifestyle products. The collection pays homage to Sweden’s iron, linen, and wood industries as well as Swedish cuisine and agriculture.
Hallmark items in the collection include an oven-proof wooden cutting board, designed specifically for potatoes; a range of minimalist porcelain serving dishes; and wire-work stainless steel cooking utensils. Additional items include table linens, tea sets, and waste solutions. “The concept of discovery and finding has always informed our creative process at MUJI,” said Asako Shimazaki, President of MUJI USA LIMITED. “Found MUJI Sweden, shows MUJI’s appreciation for the cultures and customs behind Swedish design, while maintaining the functional and accessible style that is signature to MUJI.”
