city-wide realtors’ drive for the Camrose Food Bank he wasn’t anticipating the level of cooperation and participation. He could never have predicted the extreme success of the initiative. He certainly wasn’t thinking of this idea gravitating into an annual endeavour!
On Thursday, March 8, between 5:30-7:30 pm, Camrose realtors will be working for the good of those less fortunate in our prized community. With the city mapped out into dozens of zones, approximately thirty sales representatives from Royal Lepage, Central Agencies Inc., Re/Max, Coldwell Banker Battle River Realty and Swan City Realty will be joining forces to canvas the city, seeking donations for the local food bank. Joining the contingent of realtors, will be a multitude of family members and additional management and staff from the participating businesses. According to Don Forestier, “I think we will easily surpass the truckloads of food we brought in last year. We’ve already got realtors using Facebook to promote the event. I know of a realtor who puts out signs to remind people in his assigned territory that he’ll be back later seeking a food donation. With the amount of coverage we’re getting, I’d be willing to bet there will be bags of food on doorsteps or door-knobs, as people anticipate our visit.” If you want to assist by becoming a canvasser for this drive, contact any local real estate office. If you want to make a non-perishable food donation but will not be home Thursday evening, call any Camrose real estate office and a pick-up at your home or office will be arranged.
