sales record for their firewood program. Sales in 2013 doubled the previous year and, collectively, club members are barely keeping up with the intense demand for their product this winter! Our community has been the fortunate beneficiary of this creative fundraising endeavour with the club giving generously to the Christmas Cheer Fund, Silent Santa, the Rose City Handi-Van Society, Battle River Animal Protection Society, Centa Cam, The Camrose & District Food Bank breakfast program, and a number of other worthwhile causes. The success of the firewood program has led to the club evaluating the potential funding of new and exciting community initiatives in Camrose. For information about how to buy large or small quantities of firewood call Lion Gary Cunningham, 780-608-9746, or Lion Larry Sharuga at 780-679-3312.
