There is expected to be plenty of police presence, flashing lights and a beehive of activity on the service road near Camrose Registry on
Saturday, December 7, from noon until 4 p.m. Typically, the public is discouraged to drive by situations such as this. In this particular case, however, Camrose Police Service and RCMP Camrose Detachment hope you will roll right up to the scene by vehicle or attend on foot. This location will be the site of the 13th annual Charity Checkstop where police personnel and volunteers will gratefully accept your monetary donations, gift cards, nonperishable food items and personal care supplies for three deserving local organizations. Donations received during this window of time will be directed to Camrose Open Door Association, Camrose and District Victim Services and Camrose Women’s Shelter. All contributions will assist these respected community partners to continue their fine work, assisting those individuals and families from our community who are presently in need.
