McLaughlin picks up where he left off

Reigning Virgin Australia Supercars Champion Scott McLaughlin has had an almost perfect start to his title defence, claiming the Superloop Adelaide 500 for the second consecutive year. The victory came off the back of a win in Sunday’s race, and a second place in the season opener on Saturday. It didn’t come easy for McLaughlin though after some luck went his way in the second race as Shane van Gisbergen had to give up his lead due much needed fuel stop. Just 24 hours before van Gisbergen’s heartbreak, his teammate Jamie Whincup sent out a message to the rest of the competition with a commanding win in the opening race.
