CONCEPT

Little plant self–watering planter is a self nourishing micro garden. The planter combine hydroponics with traditional soil gardening methods to help provide plants with a wide variety of minerals and nutrients. This makes growing plants indoors easy and convenient. Planter design to place in a small space like coffee table or kitchen bench. The aim is to allow people with little or no outdoor space to still be able to grow their own edible and decorative plants.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Little Plant’s target audience appreciate young generation who wants to eat healthy by growing their own plant, at the same time staying in a urban living spaces such as condo or apartment with limited outdoor space to plant on ground.

I’m using different kind of cardboard and paper to test out as the packaging for my planter, and found out thicker cardboard is better than kraft paper because it’s more stable and tough. But for the round part, I’m still using thnner kraft paper for softer curves.

Small mason jar, threads, and matte trance paper as packs for seed and soil.

For the planter, I’m using a small mason jar and a folded plastic pot as the medium to separate water and soil, and a thread as the wick to connect the plant and reservoir.
