Moving with TRICARE
Moving is always nervewracking, but you need not worry about your medical care. Just follow these steps, outlined by the TRICARE Management Activity, to ensure you have no break in coverage when you move. 1. Do not disenroll from your Prime option before you move.

Within the same TRICARE region If you move to another Service Area in your region, you will only need to change your primary care manager (PCM). To change your PCM, search your Region’s Provider Directory to find network providers in your area. Call first to see if they are accepting new patients. Once you have selected a new PCM, you have three options to change your PCM: by mail, by phone or on the Beneficiary Web Enrollment Web site You’ll receive a confirmation letter with your new PCM’s name and telephone number. Write this information on the back of your TRICARE Prime Enrollment Card.
To Another TRICARE Region Once you know you’re moving, call your current regional contractor to give them the information about your upcoming move. To begin the enrollment transfer, the representative

Note: If there are any family members involved in the move, they will ask for their names and possible contact information, i.e. cell phone and/ or e-mail of your spouse.
Moving Overseas When you move overseas, you’ll transfer your enrollment to either TRICARE Prime Overseas or TRICARE Prime Remote Overseas depending on where you live. Commandsponsored family members can also enroll in either overseas Prime option. If not, they are covered by TRICARE Standard Overseas. Once you know you’re moving, call your current regional contractor to give them the information about your upcoming move. You will be asked the same questions as for a stateside move.
