2024 CANADA COVENANT DONOR REPORT

“BUT YOU WILL RECEIVE POWER WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT COMES UPON YOU. AND YOU WILL BE MY WITNESSES, TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT ME EVERYWHERE — IN JERUSALEM, THROUGHOUT JUDEA, IN SAMARIA, AND TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH.” ACTS 1:8

As we come to the end of 2024, we are so grateful to God for all that has taken place and for the faithful ministry of Glenn Peterson. We will miss him dearly but pray God’s blessings on him as he leads national church planting initiatives with the Evangelical Covenant Church. As part of our annual year-end appeal, we offer this report to express our gratitude for generosity, raise awareness to our financial position, and give insight into how the resources God has given us have been used to move us forward.

At our annual meetings in May of this year, Glenn Peterson powerfully described how the Canada Covenant was being called to MOVE FORWARD in and on mission through reliance on the Holy Spirit. He said, “As Jesus followers, we are invited to MOVE FORWARD with Jesus in God’s renewing work - for the sake of towns, cities, provinces, nations, and the world. More than ever, we see the need to encourage pastors, leaders, and churches towards health and life across Canada and around the world.”

When asked what the Canada Covenant is all about, we say, together, we start and strengthen churches and serve and support pastors and leaders across Canada and and around the world. In 2024 we saw our new churches strengthen their missional impact and leadership teams; we saw churches reach out beyond their walls into their neighbourhoods sharing God’s love;

we saw our pastors gather for two regional retreats for encouragement and prayer; we saw record numbers of Canada Covenant delegates gather at six regional AGM locations; we saw individuals and teams travel to work with our global partners; and we saw significant growth in our discipleship work with young adults through our camps and internships. God’s Spirit is at work moving us forward.

As Associate Superintendent and now as Interim President/Superintendent, I am so grateful for all that has taken place and I hope you will be inspired by what you’ll see in this year-end donor report and I hope you will be encouraged by how your generosity is making a difference in our common mission.

As you consider year-end charitable donations, I invite you to join me in prayerfully considering a generous gift to the Canada Covenant. Thank you in advance for your generosity and may we together see God’s faithful provision once again..

Relying of God’s Spirit with you,
