A  lot  has  happened   on  our  Ranch  in  the  last  couple  of  years. In  2010,  a  sale  of  my  property  near  Saskatoon,  an  engagement  to  Doug  Crozier  from  Biggar  Saskatchewan  and  a  purchase  of  a  ranch  together  near  Perdue,  Saskatchewan.   At  this  time  we  made  the   exciting  decision  to  keep  our  entire  yearling   bull  pen,  and  switch  our  program  to  exclusively  two`s.    A  few  reasons  that  seemed  attractive  to  us. 1.  Our  yearlings  would  not  have  to  be  pushed  to  reach  huge  gains  ,  to  look  attractive  to  potential  buyers. 2.   Our  Bulls  would  be  athletic  and  healthy,  and  would  last  for  many  years  for  our  customers. 3.   Our  bulls  would  be  able  to  breed  more  cows  in  a  season,  and  tighten  up  customers  breeding  programs. 4.  The  Bulls  would  be  close  to  mature  size  so  there  are  no  surprises,  when  yearling  bulls  may  change  quite  a  bit  for  better   or  worse. 5.  Constant  requests  for  two  year  olds  that  are  not  left  over  yearlings.  We  are  certainly  enjoying  a  strong  cattle  market,  and  well  deserved  for  those  of  you  who  have  held  onto  your  cattle  when  it  was  not  economically  viable  to  do  so. Just  a  reminder  to  do  your  homework.   Bull  markets  are  strong.   Don’t  pay  more  for  an  inferior  product  just  because  times  are  good.   Make  sure  that  the  hard  earned  dollars  you  spend  on  bulls  are  an   investment  for  your  cow  herd.  Certainly  enjoy  the  times  of  plenty,  ahead.  Be  sure  to  check  out  our  honest  pen  of  2  years  olds.   They  can  be  seen  at  the  ranch  until  approximately  April  12.   Coffee  is  always  on.  See  you  April  16th  Doug and Linda

Tiger  5T  is  a  very  consistent  calving  ease  son  of  HF Â

This powerhouse of a bull, was purchased by us and South
Park Cattle Co. at Robert Ballantynes dispersal in Dec of 2010. He has excellent feet and legs. Big performance bull with a moderate birth weight. We had very consistent birth weights 85-90 lbs on calves this spring. We are offering this bull for sale to dissolve the partnership on him.. He will be trich tested by sale day. If you are selling your calves in the fall, this would be a bull that will add extra weight to those calves at weaning.
