Dear Parksiders,

As we find ourselves in the midst of summer, it's crucial to begin preparing for the upcoming school year that is approaching swiftly.

Reflecting on my two-year journey at Parkside, both as a resident and a member of the community team, I am filled with immense gratitude. Choosing Parkside as my home away from home has been a decision I cherish, as this community has provided me not just with a place to live, but with enriching experiences and lasting friendships.

I trust that each of you is enjoying a wonderful summer season filled with relaxation and memorable moments. As many of us embark on travels near and far, please remember to stay safe.

Looking ahead, we have an exciting event planned for the month of July: a water games extravaganza! Join us as we beat the heat with fun activities designed to keep us cool and entertained during these scorching days.

Wishing you all continued enjoyment of summer's delights and looking forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!

Warm regards,

About Events

Canada Day is a significant national holiday celebrated with various festivities across the country. These include fireworks, concerts, parades, and citizenship ceremonies. It's a day for Canadians to celebrate their heritage, culture, and achievements as a nation. Many people display the national flag, wear red and white (the national colors), and participate in community events to commemorate this important day in Canadian history.

Fireworks: from 10 p.m. at Ashbridges Bay, Centennial Park (Etobicoke), Milliken Park and Stan Wadlow Park.

Parades: There may be parades or processions celebrating Canada Day, often featuring floats, marching bands, and performances.

Concerts and Performances: Many parks and public spaces in Toronto host live music concerts and performances throughout the day, showcasing local talent and sometimes featuring well-known Canadian artists..
