K-CUP CENTENNIAL PLACE JUMBO JENGA JEOPARDY, CENTENNIAL EDITION CENTENNIAL PLACE 1ST FLOOR MAIN LOUNGE SATURDAY MARCH 9, 2019 1:00PM 4 PLAYERS PER TEAM REQUIRED DESCRIPTION A classic Jenga game consists of 54 wood blocks. To set up the game, stack all of the blocks in levels of three placed next to each other along their sides and at right angle to the previous level. Once the tower is built: 1) Each player takes turns taking one block from any level of the tower (except the one below an incomplete top level), and 2) Place the removed block on the top most level in order to complete it Players may use only one hand at a time and may tap a block to find a loose one. The game ends when the tower falls completely or if any blocks fall from the tower. The person who makes the tower fall is the loser of the round.


MODIFIED K-CUP VERSION The game will be played with 71 giant Jenga blocks. The tower will be built in the main lounge. Some of the blocks will have various challenges attached to them, where the person who pulls the block that has a task assigned will have to complete said task. There will be three rounds associated with this game. GAMEPLAY Teams will pull numbers from a hat to determine their order. First Round: Normal (10 mins) 1) Teams will line up behind the appropriate starting point (team members lined up behind each other) 2) The first member of the Team 1 will remove and place the block as per the usual gameplay 3) Once the player has removed their blocks, the player is to go to the back of their team line. 4) The first player from Team 2 will then walk to the tower to remove and place the block, and so on and so forth 5) Each member from all teams will continue in this fashion, or until the tower falls. 6) The tower can be rebuilt and the game continued for a 10minute duration Points: 1) For each block that is successfully removed and placed, the team will receive 5 points 2) When the tower falls, the teams that were not responsible for the tower to fall will get awarded 5 points each, while the team that causes the tower to fall will not be awarded any points.


Second Round: Timed-Dice Roll (20 mins) 1) Teams will line up behind the appropriate starting point (team members lined up behind each other) 2) The first member of Team 1 (ex. Team centennial Place) will roll the dice 3) The team player will then walk up to the tower and remove and place the number of blocks corresponding to the dice. each player will have 40 seconds to remove and place each block accordingly. 4) The members from the other teams (Team Parkside and Team CampusOne) will also have to remove the number of blocks as well for that round. 5) The next member from the second team (ex. Team Parkside) will then roll the dice. each player from the other teams will also have to remove and place the number of blocks corresponding to the dice, so on and so forth. Points: 1) For each block that is successfully removed and placed, the team will receive 5 points 2) When the tower falls, the teams that were not responsible for the tower to fall will get awarded 5 points each, while the team that causes the tower to fall will not be awarded any points. Third Round: Activities (30 - 40 mins) 1) Teams will line up behind the appropriate starting point (team members lined up behind each other) 2) The first team member will then walk up to the tower and remove a block and place it on the top of the tower, if that block has a colour attached to it, the team member will have to pick up a corresponding colour card from the wall within 5 seconds.


3) The team member(s) will then have to choose to perform the task on the card, for additional points or risk loosing points. 4) Once the task has been chosen, the team player or group will have to complete the task before placing the block at the top of the tower Points: 1) For each block that is placed, the team will receive 5 points. 2) If team member decides to complete the task (Trivia, Physical, Group-based) on the card, the team will accrue additional points, or if they decide not to complete the task, they will lose the total of points a card is worth. 3) If the team member did not successfully complete the task, they will be required to replace the block within 20 seconds. 4) If the tower falls, the teams that were not responsible for the tower to fall will get awarded 5 points each, while the team that causes the tower to fall will not be awarded any points. WINNER WILL BE THE TEAM WITH THE MOST ACCUMULATED POINTS AFTER THE EVENT
