CHECK-IN PROCEDURES Move in can be an exciting and stressful experience. Our intent is to make the day as enjoyable and easy as possible. In order to ensure an efficient move-in process, we will provide details and suggestions for check in time, by floor so that we may manage the flow of move in traffic. Please note that no one can check in on your behalf. Please reference your room assignment notice for your specific move-in time. We ask that you respect the schedule and arrive at your designated time to ensure a smooth process for all tenants. If you do have any specific needs, please inform us prior to August 15, 2017.
*NOTE Elevators CANNOT be reserved and tenants should expect longer than normal wait times during move in. If you live on a lower floor, we recommend you use the stairs. We will have moving assistance on August 26 to help expedite your move in. On the day of your arrival please ensure you are following all instructions provided and any posted signage including signage for unloading parking. The unloading area will be on the main loading dock and tenants will be required to move their vehicles immediately after they have been unloaded. CampusOne is in a city centre location, so please assure that you are following all municipal signs and traffic by-laws.

MOVE-IN PROCEDURES Due to the large number of people moving in during a short period of time, it is VERY important that these procedures are followed.

Any residents arriving by car and who will require time to park and unload are asked to FIRST go to the University of Toronto, Huron Street BCIT underground parking; located at 213 Huron Street. There you and your family/friends will find CampusOne Staff to assist you. When you arrive to the 213 Huron Street Parking lot, we will provide a temporary parking pass, at no charge. Parking costs will be covered while you register. Please note this is only a temporary pass.
CampusOne Staff will direct you to CampusOne situated a short walking distance from the parking. Just around the corner!
When you arrive at the College Street Entrance you will find our Residence Don Staff to direct you to the Lobby. There you will find our welcome and hospitality desks to direct you to the second floor where we will help you complete your registration and obtain your room keys.
Once you complete your registration, you can return to your temporarily parked vehicle. CampusOne staff will instruct you how to drive back to CampusOne to our main driveway. See the map on page 7 for route information.

CampusOne staff and Movers will assist you in unloading your car, and bring your belongings directly to your room!
Once your vehicle has been unloaded, parking will be on your own. The 213 Huron Parking will not be available for CampusOne long term parking as space is limited and reserved for check-in time holding periods. See information on page 7 for local parking
If you are being DROPPED OFF (family/friend/taxi/Uber) and don’t require parking, have your driver pull into the CampusOne driveway /loading entrance at the College Street Entrance. Skip to Step 3. If you are arriving via PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, skip directly to Step 3.

WHAT IS YOUR LEASE STATUS AT YOUR DAY OF ARRIVAL? We hope that all our residents take advantage of the few weeks before arrival to complete your registration. By having a completed registration prior to your day of arrival, your check in will be quick and easy. Residents who have a completed and executed a lease with original documentation and with all full prepayment are considered completed This will require you have a completed registration application, a full signed and executed lease with originals provided to CampusOne and paid last month rent, paid first month rent, and if required paid food plan. If you have fully completed all the required steps for your lease prior to the arrival date, you will be able to move quickly through the drop off and check in status. Individuals who have completed and executed leases with full payment, yet may require original documents to be provided. This will require you have a completed registration application, a full signed and executed lease yet you may not have provided the original to CampusOne. You will have paid last month rent, paid first month rent, and if required paid food plan. If you have partially completed requirements you will move through your arrival quickly yet will require to stop in at the arrival desks to complete the details. Your move in will still be rather quick if all the documentation is available and you will progress quickly through to the drop off and check in status. Individuals who require parts of the Lease Documentation and or payments to be completed prior to checking in. You will be required to fully complete those missing components prior to moving in. This may require a number of steps from you and/or Guarantors. This may delay your checking in and collecting you keys. We will make every effort to keep this process fluid and comfortable. Remember to have all original documentation with you.

THE ABCs of MOVE IN
A B
Arrive during your scheduled move-in time We have scheduled arrival times by floor in an effort to control the number of people attempting to move into the building at any given time. This will only work if residents arrive during their appointed time and not earlier or later. Please help us make Move-In run smoothly by arriving on your assigned date and time!
Bring people to help you. We want the move-in process to be as efficient as possible. There are only a few unloading spots at the building. After you unload your car, we ask you move it to the designated parking area. You may leave your belongings in the unloading area. There will be CampusOne staff in this area, but you may want to have someone wait with your belongings.

Communicate with your Roommates Talk to your roommates before you move-in about common items you can share. For example, you don’t want to end up with 4 bath mats! See page 5 for some suggestions on what to bring. Do NOT bring a moving truck or trailer attached to your vehicle. Due to the limited space for unloading and parking vehicles, we cannot accommodate large moving trucks or trailers in the unloading area.
Ease your move by bringing a hand cart/dolly. There will some hand carts available for use. Due to the large number of residents moving in, we recommend bringing your own handcart as we cannot guarantee that one will be available.
Form a plan for rain In case of rain, we will have tents at the designated parking area. You will be able to borrow an umbrella/rain poncho to stay dry on your walk back to CampusOne.
Gather the necessities If you are not in a studio unit, remember that you are sharing a space with other residents. Bring only what you will need for your own bedroom. You can make decisions regarding common room items with your roommates. See page 5 for some suggestions on what to bring.
