Welcome New Resident, I want to extend my warmest welcome greetings to you. Thank you for making the choice to live with us at Parkside. We are so excited to have you here. It’s been a challenging couple of years for all of us. Our goal is to provide you with a safe, clean, convenient, and supportive home away from home. I am certain you have already noticed what a unique and special property Parkside is and am confident you will love it here.
Make yourself at home and enjoy all we have to offer. Feel free to come by and say hello as I look forward to meeting you over the next few weeks. My door is always open, and I am always happy to listen to comments, criticisms, even praise! It’s going to be a great year. Welcome Home!
Being a mom myself and having sent my own kids away to school, I know how difficult this can be for parents and similarly the transition for some students can take time. This rings true this year more than ever as many of you have spent the last two years alone with your computer doing classes online. We have many third-year students also experiencing residence life for the first time. We want you to have the best experience possible. It’s time to get back to living and we are grateful you have chosen to spend this time with us. That said, please take advantage of the fantastic programs our Resident Life Coordinator Daniel and his team of superstar Community Assistants have been working so hard to prepare for your arrival. It’s a great way to meet other residents, form new friendships and create the memories you will have forever. Our Community Assistants have been busy training and preparing to ensure they are equipped to support you this year. So, remember you are never alone, you have your peers for support and me if you need a “mom.”
