INDIGENOUS ARTISTS BARBARA KANERATONNI DIABO Originally from Kahnawake and now living in Montreal, Barbara is the choreographer and director of A’nó:wara Dance Theatre. She graduated with a BFA in theatre from Concordia University and from the Native Theatre School. As a choreographer and dancer, she specializes in creating works that highlight Indigenous themes/stories/perspectives by often combining powwow, Haudenosaunee dance, and mainstream contemporary styles to create a fusion of dance that speaks to many different populations and tastes. BRYAN WOLF EAR

As the driving force behind Strange Town Recordings, Indigenous artist Bryan Wolf Ear is a champion of the underground. Under his guidance, the label is responsible for introducing some of the brightest up and coming names in progressive house music. For over 20 years, Bryan has honed his craft as a DJ, performing alongside, Booka Shade, Miss Melera, Pole Folder and Isolée. In addition the Canadian born and Montréal native holds a residency at the world-renowned Le Salon Daomé and hosts a radio-show ‘Strange Town Frequencies’ broadcasted monthly on Proton Radio.

MARIAH MIIGWANS SMITH CHABOT

Mariah Miigwans is a multi-talented Cultural Ambassador sharing stories through the hoop, fancy shawl, jingle dress dancing. She is currently working on building her platform, Miigwans Creations, a welcoming place, to learn, share and to exchange cultures and values the traditional aspects of 'trade'.

Mariah has worked with Aboriginal Experiences Tourism, providing guided tours, educating the peoples on various First Nations cultures, and presenting to youth.
