Up and coming Canberra innovators

The Canberra Innovation Network (CIN) announced their latest Innovation Connect Recipients, recognising fantastic local innovators within our community. In partnership with the ACT Government, CIN chose seven businesses to receive a combined $157,000 of funding and matched funding between $10,000 and $30,000. Two entrepreneurs worthy of a special mention are ROTA SKIP, a material handling unit trailer with a unique design for convenient and safe loading and unloading of materials, and The Pupoon, a storage capsule attached to a leash to assist in cleaning up after dogs in public spaces.

Futuristic Dyson headphones

The future is here with Dyson’s latest audio technology, the Dyson Zone (above) which combines noise-cancelling headphones with on-the-go air purification. After five years of development and research, the headphones can deliver up to 50 hours of ultra-low distortion, advanced noise cancellation, full-spectrum audio reproduction, while the air-purification filters can remove pollutants as small as 0.1 microns. The Dyson Zone is launching in 2023.
