Welcome
Caravan and Motorhome Club Motorhome & Campervan Design Awards Welcome to the Caravan and Motorhome Club Motorhome & Campervan Design Awards Guide 2022 – packed full of information about the latest and most innovative motorhomes and campervans. An independent, expert and knowledgeable panel carried out full technical specification, design, use of space and usability reviews of 72 new-to-market vehicles via desktop assessment prior to viewing the vehicles at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show at the NEC in February 2022. Brought to you by the trusted experts, the Caravan and Motorhome Club has compiled this guide, based on the important considerations when buying a motorhome or campervan to provide the information you’ll need to help with your next purchase. Please note the prices are correct as of 23 February 2022. The price of each entrant is as judged including delivery and any fitted options. For the latest information regarding prices and vehicle availability, please visit your local dealer. A Class under 7 metres An A Class motorhome does not use any body panels from the base vehicle manufacturer – the cab area is fully integrated into the habitation body, giving much more internal space and flexibility than a large panel van conversion or coachbuilt. The wider cab normally accommodates a drop-down roof bed which can be left made up ready for use, and the cab seats usually swivel to form part of a spacious lounge area when on site.

A Class over 8 metres An A Class motorhome does not use any body panels from the base vehicle manufacturer – the cab area is fully integrated into the habitation body, giving much more internal space and flexibility than a large panel van conversion or coachbuilt. The wider cab normally accommodates a drop-down roof bed which can be left made up ready for use, and the cab seats usually swivel to form part of a spacious lounge area when on site.
Know which licence you need to drive each vehicle? Category B Anyone can drive vehicles that weigh up to 3500kg. Category C1 If you received your driving licence after 1 January 1997 an additional driving test is required. If you have a C1 licence already but wish to retain it once you reach 70 years of age, you will need to pass a medical examination.
