CANFORD RACKS - ES466 SERIES - IP66 wall cabinets

Designed for use in open areas subject to the full force of the elements or harsh environments such as chemical and pharmaceutical plants or marine applications, offering sealing up to IP66, the ES466 Series are wall-mounting 19 inch rack and half-rack (9.5 inch), steel rack cabinets.

Available in three heights, three depths and three finishes, they are supplied with a fitted steel front door, complete with gasket.

LANDE - ES362 SERIES CABINETS - Assembled

Lande ES362 Series rack cabinets are competitively-priced, floor-standing, 19 inch, steel-framed racks. Available in two widths, three depths, a range of heights and in a choice of grey or black finish, they are supplied fully assembled, with removable front and rear doors and side panels. The ES362 Series racks are also available supplied flat-packed.

The racks are available in three depths, 600mm, 800mm or 1000mm. Each rack has four pillars forming the frame of the rack when fixed to the top and base frames. Horizontal cross-members fix to the pillars, front to back. Front and rear ‘rack strip’ mounting-profiles fix to flanges on the top and base frames, as well as the crossmembers, and are adjustable through the depth of the cabinet. The mounting-profiles have two sets of perforations to take cage nuts, to fix equipment both in the open faces of the rack and accessories, such as shelves and chassis guides, inside the rack. 1U increments on each front face and are screen-printed with ‘U’ height measurements to aid installation.

LANDE - PROLINE SERIES - 19 Inch cabinets - Floor or wall

The Proline Series offers a range of cabinets to rack-mount 19-inch equipment on walls, with attention paid to ease of mounting, or alternatively either castors or levelling feet can be used for free-standing or under-desk applications. With light weight, riveted, steel construction giving strength and rigidity, they are available in five heights, two depths and two colours and are supplied complete with a toughened glass door. Side and rear panels are removable, with the rear panel having a large cable entry cut out. The standard single-section cabinets may be extended by adding a rear section.

The rear panel of each cabinet can be removed, used as a drilling template and then fixed to the wall. The cabinet is then lifted and secured onto the panel and fixed with screws - a quick and easy, ‘one-man’, installation. The optional rear section gives extra depth, but more importantly gives access to the rear of the equipment without taking it out of the cabinet.

CANFORD RACKS - ES414 SERIES - 19 Inch wall cabinets - Wooden

These wall-mounting 19-inch cabinets are constructed from high-density particle board, finished with ash, oak or beech veneer, with mitred joints for an aesthetic finish. Available in six heights, they are open at the rear, with 19-inch mounting facilities at the front. Available with a tinted acrylic or solid inset door, or solid overlaid door. All lockable for security.

CANFORD microMUSA VIDEO PATCH PANELS - 12G 4K UHD Standard Density, High Density, Very High Density

These video jackfields incorporate the new microMUSA panel connector which, designed and manufactured for Canford by Coax Connectors, not only perform beyond the required 4K standard but also offer the highest possible density with a maximum of 2 rows of 48 connectors in a 1U panel. Additionally, all connectors incorporate a unique positive location feature (“detent”) that allows you to feel when the U-link or patchchord is fully mated on the panel whilst additionally providing resistance to disconnection through vibration as found in some environments such as OB vehicles. Though designed and made to the same very high standards as our industry standard 3G MUSA connectors this range is not compatible with the existing Canford 3G MUSA range.

CANFORD CONNECTION PANELS - Keystone fit

These multipurpose connection panels suitable for use with a range of industry-standard keystone connectors, allowing an almost infinite number of possible configurations. Manufactured from a lightweight, but extremely rigid, 1U aluminium extrusion, these panels are available with 8, 16 and 24 equally-spaced cut-outs.

The individual keystone connectors snap-fit into a rear-mounted sub chassis and are presented flush with the face of the front panel. Panels come as standard with a cranked lacing-bar giving easy access to the rear of the connectors.

CANFORD UNIVERSAL CONNECTION PANELS - Rapid Assembly

Multipurpose 1U panels developed to allow rapid rear mounting of connector configurations without the need for specialist tools or fiddly nuts. These panels are designed and manufactured from 2mm steel and include only a single return at the top so that they can accommodate the provided M3 tapped mounting frame which effectively snaps onto the rear of any Neutrik D-Series or Canford Universal Series connector and allows the connectors to be quickly mounted using the supplied M3 countersunk screws. 45-3329

CANFORD UNIVERSAL MODULAR CONNECTION PANELS

Multipurpose modular connection panels with an almost infinite number of configurations. These are a development from the long-established Canford ‘Universal Connection System’, to accommodate connectors that are too large for the original system. They allow the user to mount virtually any combination of audio, video, data and power connectors in a 2U rack panel without costly custom metalwork.

NEW CANFORD AUDIO SPLITTER PANELSTourline and Neutrik XLR connectors

A range of 2U Audio splitter panels supplied fully populated with 2off 37 pin Tourline connectors and 2 rows of 12 Neutrik ‘D’ series 3-pin XLR female and male connectors. Two versions are available as standard.

Manufactured from lightweight but extremely rigid aluminium extrusion, supplied with a cranked lacing-bar fitted, giving easy access to the rear of the connectors. Panels are engraved 1-12 with white infill for easy identification of all connectors in low light environments.

CANFORD BNC 12G, 4K UHD, 75 OHMS TERMINATION PANELS

These “Ultra High Definition” flat, angled and very high density BNC termination panels are intended for 12G 4K ultra high definition (2160P60), 3G and 1.5G high definition, standard definition and analogue video applications. The performance exceeds the requirements of SMPTE ST 2082-1 making them suitable for composite and component video, 270 Mb/s SDI, uncompressed 1080i or 1080p HD-SDI video and 4K UHD (2160P60) video up to 12GHz. Mating COAX 4K cable connectors and patchcords are available.

CANFORD CAT5E, CAT6 AND CAT6A RJ45 FEEDTHROUGH AND PRO PATCH PANELS

Unscreened: Supplied fully populated with feed-through (also known as doublesided or back-to-back) unscreened RJ45 CAT5E sockets enabling system patching and easy connection of portable or external equipment. A printable designation-strip with snap on cover and a lacing bar are fitted as standard. Feedthrough modules available in CAT6, CAT6A & CAT5E, panels also available in 8 & 16 way.

Screened: Supplied fully populated with feed-through (also known as double-sided or back-to-back) screened RJ45 CAT6A sockets enabling system patching and easy connection of portable or external equipment. IDC versions are supplied with screened RJ45 CAT6A IDC sockets. CANFORD CATKIT ETHERCON STAGEBOX SYSTEM

This range of robust stage boxes, patch boxes and super-flexible, rugged, multicore cables is designed to withstand the rigours of life on the road. Available in four-way or eightway configurations with standard RJ45-compatible etherCON connectors, they offer a solution to deploying multiple Cat5E equivalent cables in demanding environments, including television outside broadcast and live-performance rigs. Stage boxes are fitted with captive multicore cables in various lengths, with etherCON break-out tails, Multicore cables have etherCON break-out tails at each end, patch boxes provide back-to back etherCON connectivity and breakout to standard RJ45 Cat5E patchcords.

CANFORD FIBRE FIELD TERMINATION RACKMOUNT CASE

Designed to facilitate a fast, easy and effective solution for installing hybrid fibre connectors on site and eliminates the need for pre-terminated cable assemblies. The boxes come complete with up to 8 x Lemo 3K.93C EDW or FMW cable assemblies pre-fitted in either a flat or angled 2U front panel.

The SMPTE cable enters the chassis via rear cable glands and the strain relief is secured to the clamping post. The electrical cables are then terminated directly to the AMP connector provided on the internal bulkhead. The fibre cables terminate directly to the SC coupler on the same bulkhead using SENKO XP Fit Plus connectors or alternatively via SC tails which are spliced to the incoming fibre using the internal splice tray. This system not only provides improved protection to both the electrical and fibre connections which are secured within the case but also allows for quick and easy replacement/repair of any failed SMPTE connectors.

CANFORD FIBRE LEMO SMPTE COMPACT RACKMOUNT ENCLOSURES

Compact rackmount enclosures adapted from our standard field termination offering. At just 100mm deep, these alternative enclosures provide a smaller, less space hungry solution, particularly suited to applications where rack or wall box depth is at a premium. 50-2418 46-3494

Based on the same design as the opticalCON Field Termination Box these panels are supplied in 8 and 12 way and incorporate a simple cable management plate at the rear. They are suitable for use with any D series/Universal series connector and suited to applications where it is beneficial to relieve the stress on the mating cable.

CANFORD FIBRE SMPTE 311 SPLICE ENCLOSURE

These wall/ceiling mountable enclosures will be manufactured to accept up to 8 incoming SMPTE 311M cables and are designed to enable the respective fibre and electrical core to be broken out to LC, SC or ST bulkheads and 6 pin Mate-NLok panel connectors. Similar to our range of rack mountable field termination boxes they offer not only the possibility of a “plug and play” approach but also simplify the process of on-site installation and maintenance. They are particularly useful in installations where depth is an issue as the SMPTE cable can be brought away from the rear of the panel then terminated elsewhere in a safe and secure manner. The enclosures are also provided with a shroud to offer additional protection against accidental damage to the breakout connections. The enclosures come supplied with the required fibre patch cords, electrical crimp contacts and splice protector sleeves to help facilitate easy installation.

NEW CANFORD SMPTE 311 SUPER COMPACT SPLICE ENCLOSURE

Designed and manufactured by Canford, these mountable enclosures are intended to facilitate fast, easy and effective termination of up to four SMPTE 311 infrastructure cables and eliminate the need for pre-terminated cable assemblies. The super compact enclosure is ideally suited to applications where space is very limited as the units can easily be installed remotely from the SMPTE connection plate or panel if required. Their compact size means they are ideally suited for use in wall boxes, 19” racks and other application where our standard range of splice enclosures simply won’t fit.

Here multi-way fibre cables, fitted with opticalCON DUO or opticalCON QUAD connectors, are used to provide a point-to-point link, these break-out boxes split the two or four channels to a variety of other formats, including Duplex LC, SC and ST connectors, depending on model. The connectors are mounted in a rugged, extruded enclosure, suitable for use in broadcasting and liveevent environments. Both multi-mode and single-mode types are offered.

Where multi-way fibre cables, fitted with Lemo SMPTE304 connectors, are used to provide a point-to-point link, these break-out boxes split a two-channel or two two-channels to a variety of other formats, including SC, ST, duplex LC, opticalCON DUO SMPTE and opticalCON QUAD connectors, depending on model. The connectors are mounted in a rugged, extruded enclosure, suitable for use in broadcasting and live-event environments.

CANFORD HMA FIBRE BREAKOUT ASSEMBLIES To ST, SC and LC Fibre connectors

These HMA cable breakout assemblies use Fibreco Junior expanded beam cable connectors and are offered in a variety of lengths to ST, SC and LC fibre connections. The Junior expanded beam connector offers high performance and are available in either two or four channel Multimode or Singlemode versions.

CANFORD RANGE EXTENDING ACTIVE OPTICAL HDMI CABLES

These locking, active, optical, HDMI 2.0 cables are intended for applications where longer cable-run lengths than those obtainable with standard copper HDMI cables are required. They are also useful where the cable needs to pass through environments with high electrical interference.

HDMI 2.0 - Locking: Applications include professional AV systems interconnection, indoor and outdoor digital signage and kiosks, plus home theatre systems in larger properties.

These cables are CPR certified Cca, s1, d0 and are available in a range of lengths from 10 to 100 metres. They handle 18Gbps and 4K at 60Hz, with 48-bit colour-depth and 3D capabilities. Audio can be transmitted at 8-channel PCM, Dolby Digital True HD, or DTS-HD Master Audio.

There are two standard versions of these cables, one terminated with full size locking type A HDMI connectors on both ends and the other terminated with locking micro HDMI type D connectors supplied with adapters to fit full-size, locking type A connectors. Included with the adapter variants are a USB to DC power cable and a cable pulling tool Intended to aid fixed installation; the micro HDMI connectors reduce the likelihood of snagging as the cable is pulled through conduit, fed through voids or behind plaster board. Other benefits may include applications where cables must pass through congested and/or small apertures, such as internally wired brackets and mounts.

HDMI 2.0 - Armoured - Locking: Designed for rental and stage use, applications can include professional AV systems interconnection, indoor and outdoor kiosks as well as home theatre systems in larger houses.

These cables are 5.8mm in diameter with a TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) jacket. Under the jacket, a layer of Kevlar surrounds a flexible, stainless-steel conduit that protects the core of the cable against rodents. Additional Kevlar is placed between wires within the conduit for added strength. Good flexibility is maintained with a bend radius of 45mm. All lengths are terminated with locking HDMI type A connectors. No external power is required.

LINDY HDMI CABLES Anthra line - HDMI 2.0, 4K, PVC

Designed to be the ‘professional choice’, they feature triple shielding with 30AWG copper conductors for peak performance and corrosion resistance. High quality 24k gold plated contacts and connectors maintain optimal signal integrity and reliability.

All options support UHD resolutions up to 4k 4096x2160 at 60Hz 4:4:4 8bit and are capable of transmitting 32 channel audio and Dolby True HD. Lengths up to 5m offer 18Gbps bandwidth capacity.

These Canford Dante adapters provide an alternative to the existing Audinate and Amphenol in-line adapters and avoiding captive cables. They are simple stereo audio adapters to convert between either analogue or digital, to or from Dante. Three models, with two housing options, provide different audio connectivity options. The range consists of three standalone/desktop units and three units designed to mount in the Canford Universal Modular Connector Panel (UMCP). Each unit is powered by PoE (Power over Ethernet), no external power is required.

NEW CANFORD STUDIO LED ILLUMINATED SIGNS

A range of attractive LED illuminated signs, which, though designed by Canford especially for studio installations, will readily suit other applications such as meeting or interview rooms. They are designed so that even when fitted in corridors, it is clear from all viewing angles when the sign is illuminated. Operating between 85 and 264volts AC, now makes them suitable for worldwide use. LED is both more efficient and costs less to run compared with the original bulb versions.

The base units are made from metal and painted matt black, whilst the covers, maintaining their iconic Canford shape, are a translucent polycarbonate, and snap fit over the bases, no tools are required for removal. CANFORD LED RACK LIGHT - Multicolour

Made from aluminium the 1U rack light offers a light weight robust construction. The rack light can be quickly changed from white light to one of six colour options using the front mounted rocker switch. The colour can be pre-selected using the RGB dip switches on the rear of the unit and is powered via a 12v 2A plug in PSU. Connection is via a 2.1mm locking DC connector to ensure a solid connection when used within mobile racks. A USB socket is included on the front panel allowing for charging a mobile phone or similar device. Being only 100mm deep the rack light can easily fit behind most equipment installed within a rack.

This is a broadcast quality noise-cancelling ‘lip’ microphone, specifically for commentary work in environments where the level of background noise requires that the microphone be used very close to the mouth. It is a gradient ribbon unit with a high degree of acoustic damping, fitted into a special case equipped with nose and mouth breath shields. The talking distance has to be controlled accurately in order to maintain the correct frequency response (avoidance of variation of proximity effect) and this is done by positioning bars which contact the user’s upper lip.

This range uses a high quality 200 ohm dynamic capsule in an attractive satin nickel or black finish robust metal housing, with foam windshield insert. NEW SENNHEISER RADIOMICS - Evolution Digital

Sennheiser EW-D (Evolution Wireless Digital) series of radio systems are available as complete systems or in component form with either handheld transmitters or belt-pack transmitters for use with instruments or lapel microphones.
