Designed to facilitate a fast, easy and effective solution for installing hybrid fibre connectors on site and eliminates the need for preterminated cable assemblies. The boxes come complete with up to 8 x Lemo 3K.93C EDW or FMW cable assemblies pre-fitted in either a flat or angled 2U front panel.
The SMPTE cable enters the chassis via rear cable glands and the strain relief is secured to the clamping post. The electrical cables are then terminated directly to the AMP connector provided on the internal bulkhead. The fibre cables terminate directly to the SC coupler on the same bulkhead using SENKO XP Fit Plus connectors or alternatively via SC tails which are spliced to the incoming fibre using the internal splice tray.
This system not only provides improved protection to both the electrical and fibre connections which are secured within the case but also allows for quick and easy replacement/repair of any failed SMPTE connectors
Also available in a variety of different sizes to accommodate requirements of any project.
Based on the same design as the opticalCON Field Termination Box these panels are supplied in 8 and 12 way and incorporate a simple cable management plate at the rear. They are suitable for use with any D series/Universal series connector and suited to applications where it is beneficial to relieve the stress on the mating cable.

Increasing use of network and data cables between audio and video devices on location calls for a Category 5E cable that is designed specifically for deployable use. Basic Category 5E F/UTP is a relatively inflexible installation cable, and even the slightly more flexible patchcord type still has very poor handling characteristics. This Category 5E cable has been designed specifically for the professional audio and video user, and is intended to handle like a typical microphone cable.
This special version of Canford’s CAT5E-F flexible Cat5E cable has a polyurethane outer jacket providing greater abrasion resistance (but slightly less flexibility) than the PVC on the standard design. Otherwise it is a similar F/UTP construction. The greater heat tolerance of polyurethane may be useful.
A reduced size version of Canford CAT5E-F, designed specifically for installations where a very flexible screened Category 5E cable is required. The core construction and jacket material is identical to CAT5E-F; the difference is only in the jacket thickness. It is particularly useful for wiring racks.
4 core and 8 core deployable Cat5E cables, for both studio and touring/OB applications, based on Canford’s CAT5E-F screened flexible cable..
Heavy duty versions (formerly called ‘touring’) use the standard CAT5E-F 6.2mm diameter flexible cable, with colour coded and numbered individual jackets. The overall jacket has a tough layer of PUR (polyurethane) for abrasion resistance. PUR provides excellent wearing characteristics in the harsher environment of outside broadcast and touring applications.
Flexible versions (formerly called ‘studio’) have a design optimised to give the best possible flexibility, and uses the CAT5E-F-M 5.8mm diameter cable, with colour coded and numbered individual jackets. The overall jacket is soft PVC for optimum flexibility.
Increasing use of network and data cables between audio and video devices on location calls for a Category 6 cable that is designed specifically for deployable use. Basic Category 6 UTP is a relatively inflexible installation cable, and even the slightly more flexible patchcord type still has very poor handling characteristics in deployed applications.
Increasing use of network and data cables between audio and video devices on location calls for a Category 7 cable that is designed specifically for deployable use. Basic Category 7 cable is a relatively inflexible installation cable, and even the slightly more flexible patchcord type still has very poor handling characteristics in deployed (as opposed to patching) applications. This Category 7 cable has been designed specifically for the professional audio and video user and is intended to handle like a typical microphone cable. It has recently been approved by Waves Audio for use with their Waves Audio Soundgrid systems. It has an extraflexible individually screened 4 pair core structure with an overall braid screen that maintains Category 7 performance, then a rugged polyurethane outer jacket, to give superb flexibility and handling characteristics. Suitable for use with both standard RJ45 connectors (round entry version), the Neutrik Ethercon and most other ruggedised RJ45 designs, or any other connector with a suitably sized entry gland. The cable is also suitable for DMX512 applications.
A carefully curated range of etherCON and RJ45 data cable assemblies utilising varieties of Cat5, Cat6, and Cat7 cables.
Anthra line cables are designed to be the ‘professional choice’. They feature triple shielding with copper and tinned copper conductors for peak performance and corrosion resistance.

A range of loudspeakers from Glensound that feature network connectivity. This enables the user to remotely control over long distances via Dante/AES67 connection.
Glensound Divine is a 10watt monitor loudspeaker with Dante/AES67 connectivity. It is housed in a fully sealed die-cast enclosure, and designed for audio monitoring in broadcast, studio, OB vans, and other situations where quality monitoring and connectivity is required.
Press splitters are used to avoid the unsightly clutter that results at events such as press conferences, when every broadcasting organisation present tries to erect a microphone directly in front of the speaker, precisely where the cameramen would rather they did not. The splitter takes a small number of inputs from microphones or the local mixer and distributes the signal to a large number of outputs for use by the media.
These enable microphone feeds to be split to feed three destinations. Output 1, normally used as the main mixer feed, will pass phantom power to the microphone. XLR 3-pin connectors are used, female for input, male for output.
95-628 RB-ADDA2 A/D AND D/A CONVERTER Audio, AES/EBU or S/PDIF
95-617 RB-SC2 SAMPLE RATE CONVERTER Dual, AES/EBU, SPDIF, Toslink i/o, sync inputs
Miniature, passive designs, requiring no power, LEN SDI splitters are a direct equivalent to the use of a Distribution Amplifier to create additional SDI signals, for most applications. LEN Splitters are also often used for such applications as additional monitor feeds say in remote camera locations, and in situations where size and weight are critical factors, such as racing cars, bikes and other sporting and research applications.

A tried and tested, wired analogue talkback which can stand up to the potentially harsh environments of a film set or theatre, or whilst being used as a comms system during deployment of an ROV for seabed survey use. The deceptively simple Tecpro intercom system allows for a large group of people to have a real-time, two-way conversation with excellent intelligibility.
• Comfortable: Lightweight design and clear, intelligible audio for fatigue-free communication.
• Reliable: Easy to operate, universal power supply (for world-wide use), and renowned for toughness and durability.
• Versatile: Connect between two and hundreds of users on up to two independent intercom rings.
Tecpro beltpacks are tough, lightweight, remote intercom stations which are typically hung from the belt but can be used free standing or mounted on a suitable surface. They offer full-duplex operation and have been designed for portable use where care may not always taken by the user.
Loudspeaker Stations provide local monitoring of intercom circuits without the need to wear headphones. The built-in microphone makes them suitable for hands-free operation, allowing full-duplex simultaneous talk and listen conversations to take place.
Designed to be the hub of a wired intercom system, the MS741 is based on the successful MS731 Master Station and is compatible with current and legacy Tecpro products.

Made from aluminium the 1U rack light offers a light weight robust construction. The rack light can be quickly changed from white light to one of six colour options using the front mounted rocker switch. The colour can be pre-selected using the RGB dip switches on the rear of the unit and is powered via a 12v 2A plug in PSU. Connection is via a 2.1mm locking DC connector to ensure a solid connection when used within mobile racks. A USB socket is included on the front panel allowing for charging a mobile phone or similar device. Being only 100mm deep the rack light can easily fit behind most equipment installed within a rack.
The LED Racklight mounts in an equipment rack and provides a high-brightness light source to illuminate the controls of equipment mounted in the rack below it. Designed to keep the spillage of light to a minimum, the Racklight is highly useful not only back-stage and in equipment rooms, but also, in some positions, within a venue.
As a distributor of the Littlite brand, Canford stock a range of Littlite products including littlite gooseneck task lights.
