Tecpro Wired Intercom Depend on us for your next event

tecpro by Canford

Tecpro is a 'two wire' or as it is sometimes known 'partyline' or 'ring' system which enables a number of people to take part in the same conversation. Each participant can hear all other participants on the same circuit while being able to talk to them simultaneously, o a full 'duplex' conversation can take place – similar to a telephone system.

PS751 / PS753 Power Supplies Free-standing Tecpro power supplies provide 24V DC to drive intercom systems. They also terminate the audio line with the correct impedance to enable full 'duplex' (simultaneous 2-way) conversations to take place over extended cable runs.

• • •

Tough, extruded aluminium case Universal power supply for world-wide use

Short circuit and overload protection with indication

Automatic reset after short circuit

2A supply supports up to 40 Tecpro BP511 beltpacks

• • •

'Power On' and 'Overload' indication. 3-Pin XLR intercom connectors IEC mains power inlet

PS751 is a powerful single circuit power supply suitable for use by schools, colleges, AV companies and other users who need only one intercom circuit. PS753 shares the same specifications as the PS751, but can be set for 1, 2 or 3 independent circuit operation by the use of toggle switches. Suitable, for example, when the lighting and sound crews need their own independent circuits. 4

PB752 Power Booster Free-standing power booster for supplementing the 24V DC Tecpro line voltage when an existing system's PSU is struggling due to excessive cable lengths or current draw. Power Boosters will typically be placed at the far end of a cable run where there is maximum voltage drop.

• Tough, extruded aluminium case • 'Power On' and 'Overload' indication. • Universal power supply for world-wide use • 3-Pin XLR intercom connectors • Short circuit and overload protection with indication • IEC mains power inlet • Automatic reset after short circuit • 2A supply supports up to 40 Tecpro BP511 beltpacks

PS754 Power Supply / Booster Rack mount Power Supply similar in design to the MS741 and MS745 Master Station PSUs. Provides 24V DC to drive intercom circuits.

• 19" Rackmount format • Two independent circuits • Universal power supply for world-wide use • 'Power On' and 'Overload' indication. • Short circuit and overload protection with indication

• Automatic reset after short circuit • Switchable Power Supply/Power Boost operating modes

• Supports up to 22 Tecpro BP511 beltpacks

Additional switchable power booster mode. Power boost is useful for supplementing an existing system power supply that is struggling because of excessively long cable runs, or because a large number of loudspeaker stations and beltpacks are drawing power from the intercom circuit. In boost mode, the device supplies only additional 24V DC to supplement the system. It does not terminate the audio line so does not alter the impedance which could cause instability. Power Boosters will typically be placed at the far end of a cable run where there is maximum voltage drop.

per circuit

• 3-Pin XLR intercom connectors • IEC mains power inlet

AD903 2 to 4-Wire Adapter The AD903 interfaces Tecpro intercom to external analogue devices with separate send/ receive circuits, for example, broadcast cameras with built-in 4-wire intercom.

• • •

Tough, extruded aluminium case

• •

Mic and line level input/output capability

4-Wire Ins/Outs are transformer balanced and floating

Galvanic isolation reduces likelihood of hum and interference

Other applications include injection of mic or line level audio from an external source on to a Tecpro intercom circuit and for recording or monitoring intercom conversations. Settings on the AD903 are manually adjusted. The 'Y' lead YL908 is designed for connecting outboard equipment to an AD903 adapter. It has a single 4-pin female XLR splitting to one male and one female 3-pin XLR connector.

Sidetone 'Null' adjustment minimises input to output crosstalk

AD913 Walkie Talkie Interface

The AD913 enables communication between a Tecpro full 'duplex' wired intercom and a simplex radio system comprised of two or more wireless handheld transceivers. It allows conversation on the wired comms system to be transmitted to remote radios and received talkback from the remote radios to be heard on the wired intercom circuit.

• Tough, extruded aluminium case • Allows combined wired comms/radio systems to be assembled

• Interfaces with most good quality simplex radio transceivers

• Transformer balanced audio connections to minimise hum and interference

A single walkie talkie transceiver becomes the interface to the simplex system. Connection is made via the device's microphone input and headphone output jacks. The base transceiver is set to 'Voice Activation' mode. In this mode, it is forced to transmit when the AD913 routes audio through to the base transceiver when a 'Call' signal is sensed on the Tecpro intercom circuit. When not transmitting, the transceiver defaults to receive mode. Any transmissions received from remote radio transceivers will be injected on to the selected Tecpro wired circuit.

SL909 Strobe Light The SL909 Xenon Strobe Unit can be connected at any point in an intercom circuit. When a 'Call' signal is sensed, it will produce high power flashes at approximately one second intervals. The current consumption of 60mA is roughly equivalent to a BP511 beltpack.

• Tough, extruded aluminium case • Protective transparent dome

6

• High powered flash to alert crew to listen in

HS591 Handset Station The HS591 has most of the functionality of a beltpack and is for use where a standard beltpack and headset would be inconvenient - for example in a theatre foyer, corridor or ticket office.

• Suitable for placing on a desk or for wall mounting • Active mic switches off if 'Remote Mic Kill' signal received • Powered from the 24V DC Tecpro line • 'Call' button activates 'Call Alert' LEDs of other • Intercom connection is via the RJ11 cable stations on circuit • Earpiece and mic selected for intelligible • Red LED flashes and internal buzzer sounds if communication • Lifting handset from cradle activates earpiece and microphone

'Call' signal received

• Buzzer can be programmed to be silent

• Green 'Mic On' button illuminates when mic active

LS300 Loudspeaker Stations LS351

LS352

LS381

LS361 LS371 LS382

• Two modes of operation - simplex or duplex • Desk top, wall mount, flush mount and rack mount • Built-in high quality loudspeaker and electret models microphone • Single and dual-circuit versions available on most • Loudspeaker and mic can be simultaneously active* models • Generates and responds to 'Remote Mic Kill' • Adjustable feedback cancellation circuitry control tone • Mic On/Off button offers push-to-talk or latching • 'Override' signal recognition triggers preset volume characteristics# • XLR4 connector for external gooseneck or headset connection

restoration

• Optional external PSU for some models

An LS300 Loudspeaker Station can operate with its built-in loudspeaker and microphone both simultaneously active. Feedback cancellation circuitry removes potential acoustic howl-round, allowing the listener to hold a full 'duplex' (two-way) conversation with other users on the same intercom circuit, without resorting to using a headset. NOTE: only one device per intercom circuit can be set to operate in this mode. Additional devices will introduce the likelihood of feedback. To help control potential feedback, LS300 Loudspeaker Stations are now supplied with two operating modes: Mode 1 is 'simplex' operation where the loudspeaker mutes when the microphone On/Off button is pressed. Conversation can't be heard while the microphone is active. Loudspeaker Stations are set to Mode 1 at manufacture. Mode 2 is full 'duplex' operation as described above. To reduce picking up room noise, a gooseneck microphone can be plugged in, muting the internal mic. Plugging in a headset mutes both the internal loudspeaker and microphone. Single and dual circuit versions are available for most models. * Only one device can operate in this mode per intercom circuit. # In mode 2 only. Mode 1 is set to PTT.
