RANGE EXTENDING ACTIVE OPTICAL HDMI

NEW CANFORD ACTIVE OPTICAL CABLES - HDMI 2.0 - Locking 38-9320 These locking, active, optical, HDMI 2.0 cables are intended for applications where longer cable-run lengths than those obtainable with standard copper HDMI cables are required. They are also useful where the cable needs to pass through environments with high electrical interference. They offer a considerably more elegant and cost-effective solution for long cable runs than Cat5E cable with converter box systems. Applications include professional AV systems interconnection, indoor and outdoor digital signage and kiosks, plus home theatre systems in larger properties. All cables are supplied with locking connectors which are designed to help secure them in place to prevent disconnection, allowing for a more robust installation versus non-locking HDMI cables. These cables are CPR certified Cca, s1, d0 and are available in a range of lengths from 10 to 100 metres. They handle 18Gbps and 4K at 60Hz, with 48-bit colour-depth and 3D capabilities. CANFORD CABLES

DATA & ETHERNET CANFORD CAT5E-F-J CATEGORY 5E DATA CABLE Stranded conductor, screened Multi-circuit deployable Cat5E cables, for both studio and touring/OB applications, based on Canford’s CAT5E-F screened flexible cable. Heavy duty versions (formerly called ‘touring’) use the standard CAT5E-F 6.2mm diameter flexible cable, with colour coded and numbered individual jackets. The overall jacket has a tough layer of PUR (polyurethane) for abrasion resistance. Canford uses PUR on many cable designs to provide excellent wearing characteristics in the harsher environment of outside broadcast and touring applications

31-884

31-888

Flexible versions (formerly called ‘studio’) have a design optimised to give the best possible flexibility, and uses the CAT5E-F-M 5.8mm diameter cable, with colour coded and numbered individual jackets. The overall jacket is soft PVC for optimum flexibility. 31-894

CANFORD CAT5E-F CATEGORY 5E DATA CABLE Stranded conductor, screened - Deployable Increasing use of network and data cables between audio and video devices on location calls for a Category 5E cable that is designed specifically for deployable use. Basic Category 5E F/UTP is a relatively inflexible installation cable, and even the slightly more flexible patchcord type still has very poor handling characteristics. This Category 5E cable has been designed specifically for the professional audio and video user, and is intended to handle like a typical microphone cable.

31-850

CANFORD CAT5E-F-R CAT 5E DATA CABLE Stranded conductor, screened - Deployable, Ruggedised This special version of Canford’s CAT5E-F flexible Cat5E cable has a polyurethane outer jacket providing greater abrasion resistance (but slightly less flexibility) than the PVC on the standard design. Otherwise it is a similar F/UTP construction. It is suitable for use with both standard RJ45 connectors (round entry version), the Neutrik Ethercon and most other ruggedised RJ45 designs, or any other connector with a suitably sized entry gland. The cable is also suitable for DMX512 applications. The greater heat tolerance of polyurethane may be useful.

31-890

CANFORD CAT5E-F-M CATEGORY 5E DATA CABLE Stranded conductor - Miniature, Flexible A reduced size version of Canford CAT5E-F, designed specifically for installations where a very flexible screened Category 5E cable is required.

31-948

This specialist version of Cat5E SF/UTP (foil and braid screen) has a very tough polyurethane outer jacket, and has moderate flexibility. The jacket is two-layer, the inner layer is low fire hazard material, so the cable can be classed as ‘low fire hazard’.

CANFORD CAT 6 F DEPLOYABLE DATA STRANDED CONDUCTOR UTP CABLE

31-870

Increasing use of network and data cables between audio and video devices on location calls for a Category 6 cable that is designed specifically for deployable use. Basic Category 6 UTP is a relatively inflexible installation cable, and even the slightly more flexible patchcord type still has very poor handling characteristics in deployed applications.

DRAKA CAT6 SHIELDED Solid Conductor DRAKA Category 6 U/FTP 4 twisted pair solid conductor cable, patented foil wrapping of two pairs 1 & 2, 3 & 4, Low Fire Hazard jacket (LSHF). Also available as a Category 6 S/FTP 4 twisted pair solid conductor cable, patented foil wrapping of two pairs 1 & 2, 3 & 4, with overall Braid, Low Fire Hazard jacket (LSHF).

TUK CATEGORY 6A STRAIGHT AND MULTI-ANGLE FIELD TERMINATION PLUGS These RJ45 plugs allow for time-saving and efficient on-site assembly with no requirement of special tools. Contact our sales team for more information

NEW CANFORD CAT7-F CAT 7 DATA CABLE Stranded conductor, screened - Deployable, ruggedised Increasing use of network and data cables between audio and video devices on location calls for a 31-840 Category 7 cable that is designed specifically for deployable use. Basic Category 7 cable is a relatively inflexible installation cable, and even the slightly more flexible patchcord type still has very poor handling characteristics in deployed (as opposed to patching) applications. This Category 7 cable has been designed specifically for the professional audio and video user, and is intended to handle like a typical microphone cable. It has recently been approved by Waves Audio for use with their Waves Audio Soundgrid systems. It has an extra-flexible individually screened 4 pair core structure with an overall braid screen that maintains Category 7 performance, then a rugged polyurethane outer jacket, to give superb flexibility and handling characteristics. Suitable for use with both standard RJ45 connectors (round entry version), the Neutrik Ethercon and most other ruggedised RJ45 designs, or any other connector with a suitably sized entry gland. The cable is also suitable for DMX512 applications.

CANFORD CABLES

AUDIO CABLES CANFORD FST - Foil Screened Stranded Conductor Twin Cable Standard, Low Fire Hazard and Flexible type is designed to be suitable for both digital and analogue audio signals, with an impedance of 100 ohms which has been proven to be suitable for AES/EBU digital audio as well as analogue microphone and line level signals. Wire insulation is polypropylene, which shrinks back minimally during soldering (considerably less than PVC or polyethylene). Standard has an overall PVC jacket is bonded to the screen tape on application so that one stripping action removes jacket and screen, leaving the signal wires and earth wire free for further processing. It is not necessary to have to unwind tape screen after jacket stripping nor is it necessary to become involved in the unravelling of braided copper screens. FST-LFH Low Fire Hazard is technically identical to standard FST, except that the PVC jacket is replaced by an LFH material. Wiring specifications for many public buildings now call for LFH cables to be used in certain areas, notably in corridors etc. Under combustion circumstances, LFH cables have a significantly reduced smoke emission, and the gaseous products contain no toxic halogens. FST-F Flexible is constructed in a similar way to the easy-strip FST, but has changes to improve the flexibility. The insulation has a slightly reduced wall thickness, and a significantly longer lay length of the twist than FST, giving a single, long length strip. The overall jacket is a soft PVC with semi-matt finish, and overall diameter is slightly less the FST.

31-001 FST, 31-280 FST-F, 31-059 FST-LFH

CANFORD FST-DMX-LFH - Foil Screened Stranded Conductor Twin Cable - For DMX512 Data - Low Fire Hazard Foil screened, 120 ohm installation cable, specifically for DMX512 lighting-control applications, designed to meet RS485 data cable specification. Available in one and two pair versions. Wire insulation is polypropylene which shrinks back minimally during soldering (considerably less than PVC or polyethylene). The overall jacket is bonded to the screen tape so that one stripping action removes jacket and screen, leaving the signal wires and earth wire free for further processing.

CANFORD FST-M - Foil Screened Stranded Conductor Twin Cable - Miniature

31-052

31-240
