Editorial

O

n the occasion of its 42nd edition, which will

take place from 10 to 15 September, the Yachting Festival increases its reach, from one end of the Croisette to the other. The number one in-water boat show in Europe, both on the calendar and in terms of the array of 640 boats on display, the Yachting Festival opens a new chapter in its history with the creation of a dedicated sailing area at Port Canto. This port will also continue to accommodate brokers and the nautical toys area. The Vieux Port will be not only the setting for new motorboats from 5 to 55 metres in length, but within its Luxury Gallery, it will also showcase luxury, craft and lifestyle brands. This new configuration of the Yachting Festival will allow further highlighting of the stars of the French and international yachting world that rival each other in their luxury, chic and elegance. A must-attend event, with an upscale clientele with a keen interest in beautiful yachts, the Yachting Festival offers a unique opportunity to present wide-ranging sector expertise to more than 50,000 demanding visitors from all over the world. By partnering up with the reputation of excellence that the Yachting Festival enjoys, our partners have an exceptional opportunity to strengthen their reputation and position in the yachting and luxury sector. A MAGICAL SETTING FOR EXCEPTIONAL EVENTS THE CONCOURS D’ELÉGANCE This exceptional nautical parade is an opportunity to discover a show of small vintage and modern cabinless day motor boats of less than 12m in length accompanied by their splendid crews, and to pay tribute to the rich history of sailing boats. The parade takes place on the shores of the event beach in front of an audience of visitors, journalists, professionals, enthusiasts and a jury of experts and amateurs. After the parade, the audience is invited to the awards ceremony, during which the winners receive gifts offered by the event partners. Participants and partners are then invited to a private cocktail party in the VIP club.

CHILDREN'S REGATTA BETWEEN THE TWO PORTS Little sailors are the future enthusiasts and owners of tomorrow, which is why we wanted to create a link between local sailing schools and the Cannes Yachting Festival, and hold a regatta between the two ports in the bay of Cannes. The goal is to reach a younger, more local audience, including members of the various French Sailing Federation Clubs. THE WINCH CHALLENGE This is a new activity in the heart of the Sailing Space open for the six days of the show, during which participants must show off their strength and audacity to win beautiful gifts offered by our partners. This operation showcases the show's partners and exhibitors. The aim: Winch and raise the 'gauge' with your own strength to win a gift provided by the challenge partners.

A place for relaxing and socialising, it is also a meeting place for business among Riviera card or VIP card holders. In 2018, Missoni Home furnished the VIP Club, while maisons Dalloyau and Louis Roederer sponsored the menu. THE PANORAMIC RESTAURANT AT VIEUX PORT The Panoramic Restaurant, located on the roof of the Palais des Festivals, is a gourmet catering area that is open to all visitors and exhibitors. It offers a unique view of the prestigious yachts being exhibited in the Vieux Port, the famous Suquet old quarter and the bay of Cannes. In 2018, Dalloyau and Louis Roederer curated the Panoramic Restaurant menu.
