Something Fresh at Canungra Takeaway

Canungra Takeaway has a fresh look and a delicious updated menu, thanks to new owner, Rachel McGlashan. Rachel has renovated the inside of the takeaway, formerly known as Funky Dory Diner, to give a more inviting look for customers who want to eat in! The new interior boasts new bar style tables and stools and pendant lighting. The kitchen has also been renovated, allowing Rachel to expand the menu to cater for different tastes. Rachel is a qualified chef who did her apprenticeship in a busy hotel in Victoria, then continued her trade in several clubs. She worked as a pastry chef for five years before moving to Canungra to be closer to her family. Rachel revamped the takeaway menu to include cater for a wider range of dietary requirements. There is fresh fish, fish cakes and panko crumbed Torpedo Prawns as well as burgers. A vegetarian burger is now available which has a vegan pattie and has the option of vegan cheese. There is also a selection of loaded chips with a variety of toppings to suit every taste and, new to Canungra, Deep Fried Sandwiches.

Customers have the convenience of making their burger, fish or deep fried sandwich order a meal by adding a serve of chip and small drink for only $3. Whether you are craving something sweet - churros or a deep fried Mars Bar, or something healthy such as a freshly made salad, Rachel and the team have you covered.
