Upstream vs. Midstream vs. Downstream •  The upstream sector includes the searching for potential underground or underwater crude oil and natural gas fields, drilling of exploratory wells, and subsequent drilling and operation of the wells that recover and bring the crude oil and/or raw natural gas to the surface. •  The midstream sector involves the transportation, storage and marketing of the various oil and gas products produced by natural gas processing plants and by petroleum crude refineries. •  The downstream sector touches consumers through products such as gasoline or petrol, kerosene, jet fuel, diesel oil, heating oil, fuel oils, lubricants, waxes, asphalt, natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as well as hundreds of petrochemical products. Midstream operations are often taken to include some elements of the upstream and downstream sectors. For example, the midstream sector also may include natural gas fractionation facilities which separate various natural gas liquid (NGL) products such as ethane, propane, normal butane, iso-butane and natural gasoline. Little Focus Has Been Given to Handling Condensate Volumes

RIGHT PLATFORM. RIGHT OPPORTUNITIES. RIGHT PEOPLE.

13

Condensate Volumes Will Exceed Local Demand Utica Condensate Market •  Local refineries currently have capacity to serve ~190 wells (38,000 boepd) condensate supply; expanding to be able to serve ~265 wells (53,000 boepd) •  As volumes ramp up in near term, any additional volumes over this amount will have to leave the region
