Set within an award winning golf course surrounded by Byron’s magnificent coastline, Byron Bay Golf Club offers a picturesque backdrop for outdoor wedding ceremonies and the enclosed Deck Restaurant as a wedding reception venue. The Deck restaurant seats up to 140 guests for a plated dinner and 250 guests for a cocktail style reception, with the Deck and Northern Lawn area offering the perfect area for pre-dinner drinks. The Byron Bay Golf Club and Deck restaurant staff have assisted many couples achieve the perfect Byron Bay wedding in delightful surroundings. Our team can assist you to plan every finishing touch to make your dream day a reality.

Ceremonies On the Green Our practice putting green located near the entrance to the Golf Club is ideal for an outdoor ceremony with its beautiful surroundings. The fee for an on course ceremony includes the following: red carpet, scattered flower petals, registry table, the use of two golf carts for photography. Chairs for on the Green ceremonies will be an additional cost.

On the Deck With a magnificent view to the light house and the majestic surroundings of the golf course, this is also a very romantic setting, especially on sunset. The fee for a deck ceremony includes the following: red carpet, registry table and use of two golf carts for photography around the course.

Reception Times Evening - the Deck Restaurant and the Deck area are available. The bar must close no later than 11.30 PM. All guests must vacate the Club’s premises by midnight.

Your Reception

at Byron restaurant

The Deck Restaurant Looking out on to the perfectly manicured course boasting expansive views to the Byron Bay Lighthouse, the northern facing deck and lawn are ideal function venues. The light-filled rooms of the Deck Restaurant can comfortably fit up to 140 seated guests. Using a series of sliding doors, this space can be reduced for smaller events to create a room size appropriate to your number of guests. The adjoining Northern Lawn is an ideal location for ceremonies, pre-dinner drinks and canapĂŠs. Marquees can also be erected on the Northern Lawn for oyster bars, seafood stations, dessert buffets and more.

The Byron Bay Golf Club has an open and friendly Clubhouse Bar overlooking the course. From the Bar, to the Deck and Northern Lawn your guests can gather and enjoy the panoramic views including the Byron Bay Lighthouse. Our Wedding Team will assist you with Beverage Selections from our Australian Wine and Beer Selection. (Subject to our current beverage selection). As the Registered Clubs Act applies, the Bride and Groom will receive complimentary social membership enabling your guests to enjoy our facilities.

Signed copies of the terms & conditions are required. Your booking will be confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 The Deck at Byron is entitled to hold a pre-approved credit card bond of $1000 as security for any cancellation fee or damage to the venue premise, the facilities, or the property. Any additional incurred costs associated with your function will be taken from this. The deposit amount will be credited to your final account. On receipt of the deposit and the signed copy of our Terms and Conditions your event will be confirmed and you will be issued with a receipt. Cancellations will not be accepted unless given to us in writing. Cancellation less than 14 days will result in 100% of total booking being charged. At least 14 days before the function date you must provide to us in writing a guaranteed minimum number of guests attending the function. This is the minimum number of guests for which you will be charged. Payment must be finalised 14 days prior. The cost of beverages charged on a consumption basis must be settled at the conclusion of the function. A credit card must be provided prior to the event. The cost of any additional charges must be settled at the conclusion of the function. Account facilities may be arranged, however are subject to approval at our absolute discretion. All floor plans must be submitted at least 14 days prior to the event. Menu selection for food and beverages must be completed 3 weeks prior to the event. Menus and prices are subject to change at our absolute discretion. You and your guests, agents or contractors are not entitled to bring or provide food or beverages to the function unless we permit you to do so in writing. We reserve the right to substitute or change your proposed function room if necessary. We will use our best endeavours to ensure the substitute function room is of a comparable size and quality to your proposed function room. All staff costs in relation to food and beverages are inclusive when the event is on site at The Deck @ Byron. Staff charges apply for all off site events. We enforce and abide by the rules set out in the responsible service of alcohol guidelines. We reserve the right to cancel your function and retain the deposit paid if you do not comply with the above conditions. We reserve the right to control the quality, style and volume of any entertainment or activity conducted on the premises. All entertainment must cease at 11.30 PM. No after parties or day after celebrations unless arranged in writing and approved by the Deck at Byron. Public Liability insurance. For insurance relating to all other suppliers or for any unforeseen circumstances that may affect your event we recommend wedding insurance. We may require you to take out Public Liability Insurance. Breakages & damages to the Deck at Byron by the booked party will be reported at the time of the occurrence and costs of replacement or repair, covered by the hirer. You are responsible for any loss or damage caused to the golf club, its property, carpet, fixtures or fittings by you or your guests, agents or contractors before, during or after the function. The Deck at Byron accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage to any property belonging to the client or the client's guests, including hire equipment and all items that are on site. We reserve the right in our absolute discretion to exclude or remove any undesirable persons from the event or premises without liability. There are to be no nails, hooks, hanging, or plugging in of equipment without prior approval. The Deck at Byron has the right to refuse a booking and refund any payments made at its discretion. The Deck at Byron does not allow fireworks displays, or wishing lanterns or helium balloons to be released.
