IAESTE The IAESTE is a non-profit organization which provides overseas internship opportunities to students with technical degrees on a reciprocal basis.

ASEAN Internship Programme The ASEAN Internship was developed by the HKETO in Singapore with an aim of widening students' international perspectives and enhancing bilateral relations between Hong Kong and ASEAN.

University Partnership Programme CAPS collaborate with different universities worldwide to offer valuable internship opportunities to PolyU students. The Programme aims to facilitate cultural exchange and broaden students’ global outlook.

WIE Ambassador Programme Purposes • To identify and recognize outstanding students with leadership potentials and participations • To encourage students’ involvement through providing a platform for them to improve their employability skills

Duties WIE Ambassadors would be the “spokespersons” of the CAPS WIE programmes in upcoming marketing events to share their valuable experiences and tips to participants next year. Timeline

Dean of Students' Awards for Ambassador Leaders Outstanding students with leadership potentials and participations in the WIE Ambassador Programme will be assessed throughout the year based on the below criteria in competing for the Dean of Students' Awards: 1. Leadership 2. Commitment 3. Initiativeness 4. Participation of CAPS activities The Award (cash prize of HKD 4,000 each) will be presented to 12 outstanding students.

The PolyU alumni will become students' mentors during internship, inspiring students to understand their potentials and to experience work culture

Bauhinia Cup Outstanding Entrepreneur WIE Programme Scholarship available

Participating students could have the opportunities to meet Bauhinia Cup Outstanding Entrepreneur Awardees such as Mr QI Xiangdong, CEO of Qihoo 360 Technology and Mr CHEN Bishou, Chairman of Shanghai Sansi Technology, who have made significant contributions to business and industry as well as technological and social development. Eligible students who successfully completed the WIE programme will be awarded the Bauhinia Cup Outstanding Entrepreneur Scholarship up to HKD 3,000.

Nanjing WIE Programme

Buddies from Southeast University

Besides gaining work-based learning experience through internship that takes place in a real-life work environment which is relevant to the student’s chosen profession, the programme will bring students to the capital of Jiangsu province where Southeast University’s students will lead PolyU students to get to know more about the the city's history and culture.

In recent years, Nanjing has received increasing attention from foreign investors, and on average two new foreign firms establish offices in the city every day. Nanjing WIE is a great opportunity for students who are interested to experience the rapid development of the city.
