In most of the world the production model uses a direct-injected 1.6 liter four-cylinder engine with 138 hp (103 kW), and 123 lb•ft (167 N•m) of torque at 4,850 rpm. A six-speed manual gearbox is standard while a sixspeed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) with paddle shifters is available as an option. The DCT transmission was developed by Hyundai and is the first dual-clutch transmission from the company.
