LGU-CLAVER ACQUIRES ADDITIONAL COVID-19 VACCINES

The first batch of PfizerBioNtech vaccines was finally delivered by the Department of Health to the local government unit (LGU) of Claver and was personally received by Mayor Georgia D. Gokiangkee on August 7.

This, after the LGU has put in place the newly acquired ultra-low temperature freezer ideal for handling Pfizer vaccines.

A total of 1,170 doses are made available which will be dispensed sooner by the LGU through its local health office.

“These vaccines will be administered to 585 recipients that comprises priority groups A1 to A5,” mayor Gokiangkee said. According to mayor Gokiangkee, the arrival of the additional vaccines will allow more Clavernons to get inoculated against COVID-19.

“We need to be more aggressive in fighting back against our common enemy, the coronavirus. Today we should allow ourselves a smile because we have acquired additional vaccines, but we must not drop our guard. Getting vaccinated is good for you and for the entire nation. So, please get a jab now!” urged mayor Gokiangkee.

Present also during the turn-over of vaccines are Meriam O. Ceredon, Pharmacist II of the PDOHO- SDN; Lyn Ivonnie De Chavez of the DOHDoongan warehouse; other representatives from DOH Caraga and FDA; and Hazel Jean M.
