The measure was approved by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan through the efforts of Provincial Board Member James T. BUTUAN CITY - The Sangguniang Panlalawigan recently accredited two organizations as non-governmental organization (NGO) and People’s Organization (PO) in Agusan del Norte. Through Sanggunian Resolution Nos. 241-2019 and 242-2019, authored by Provincial Board Member Francisco Y Chan, Jr., the Sangguniang Panlalawigan accredited the Father Saturnino Urios University Foundation Incorporated in Butuan City, an NGO-based and served as a service provider among people’s organizations and it was organized aimed at assisting its partner-clienteles uplift their living conditions through social entrepreneurship and livelihood projects on agri-aqua-business ventures responsive to the needs of their beneficiaries. The second is the San Roque Punta Fisherfolks and Livelihood Association Incorporated (SANROFFLAI) in Nasipit, as PO, aimed at assisting its members uplift their living condition through income-generating and livelihood projects on aqua-ventures responsive to the needs of their members as well as to actively participate in community resource enhancement projects for the protection and maintenance of biological diversity of aquatic resources.
