BUENAVISTA, Agusan del Norte - The Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) Caraga disclosed the Philippine Population Management (PPMP) Agenda and Thrusts for 2020-2022 during the Agusan del Norte Provincial Development Council-Development Administration Committee Conference, February 6.

Director Alexander A. Makinano of POPCOM Caraga cited the targets and priority local government units (LGUs) for Agusan del Norte in 2020- 2022, this also includes Cabadabaran City. In his presentation, RD Makinano highlighted the importance of fertility and population growth as factors in social and economic development using the Resources for the Awareness of Population Impacts on Development (RAPID) study for the province.

This 2020, Cabadbaran City and the municipalities of Buenavista, Kitcharao, Magallanes and Santiago are the priority areas in the intensified local implementation of PPMP key strategies, the remaining municipalities shall be in 2021 -2022.
