PIA CHIEF URGES PUBLIC TO DISSEMINATE ONLY FACTS, TRUTH ON GOVERNMENT’S VACCINATION PROGRAM

“I need your help to explain about the vaccine to all Filipinos because they deserve such explanation, and they deserve the truth. We would like to assure everyone that this government, your government under President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is working really hard in planning the rollout and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines and communicating the facts to the people.” This was the statement of DirectorGeneral Ramon Cualoping III of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) during the recent virtual town hall meeting on Vaccine Deployment Plan, as he called on all sectors to help spread the right and accurate information about the vaccine against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and help combat fake news. “We in the Presidential Communications Operations Office and the Philippine Information Agency under the leadership of Secretary Martin Andanar, and the vaccine cluster under the leadership of Secretary Carlito Galvez, and Secretary Vince Dizon, and the vaccine panel of experts are here to communicate these valuable, timely and relevant information to everyone. The official further assured that the agency will discuss everything and #ExplainExplainExplain the vaccine basics, roadmap, and latest updates. And with fake news becoming viral among the public, Cualoping also sought the support of everyone as responsible citizens to help explain everything about the vaccines to all Filipinos. “Because they deserve such explanation, they deserve the truth,” he emphasized.
