AgNor SK reports high acceptance rate among youth on COVID-19 vaccine By Doreen Marielle Rosales

“I think all of them are ready to get vaccinated.” This was the statement of Kariza Mae Semblante, president of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation of Buenavista, Agusan del Norte on the youth’s acceptance of the vaccines for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). In an interview for the Network Briefing News with Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Sec. Martin Andanar on Tuesday, June 29, the youth leader said her fellow youth has expressed great interest in the ongoing vaccination. Caraga INFOCUS

“Many people are asking me, especially our SK councilors and members if they can be vaccinated but as of now, they are not yet included in the master list so they still have to wait,” the SK President said.

about COVID-19 and COVID-19 vaccines. We have invited all of our youth to participate so this is great,” Semblante said.

While waiting for their turn to receive jabs, the SK has initiated their own information drive on the national vaccination program for the youth.

With community quarantine measures now heightened in light of the implementation of General Community Quarantine (GCQ) in the entire province, she called on her fellow youth to abide by protocols.

“The local government unit, in partnership with the SK, has an ongoing awareness campaign on drugs for the youth. What we did to maximize this is we invited resource speakers such as our local nurses to also orient them

“We are all not used to all the adjustments we have to make during this pandemic but we must do our part and continue supporting our government’s initiatives to address this health crisis,” she said. (DMNR/PIACaraga) June 26-July 2, 2021 |
