TOP 9 MOST WANTED PERSON FOR RAPE IN CARAGA ARRESTED IN SURIGAO NORTE

The anti-criminality operation conducted by Dapa Municipal Police Station and Provincial Highway Patrol Group on Friday, February 24, resulted in the arrest of a village councilor in the town of Dapa, Surigao del Norte, accused of rape of a 15-year-old girl on June 24, 2021.

Police Regional Office (PRO)-13 director PBGen. Romeo Caramat, Jr. disclosed that alias Sammy, 49 years old, the region’s 9th Most Wanted Person, was apprehended in Poblacion in Dapa around 5:45PM.

Alias Sammy was arrested under a warrant of arrest for the crime of rape issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 31, Dapa on February 16, 2022, docketed under Criminal Case No. 22-13 with a recommended bail of Php200,000. “PNP Caraga is escalating its efforts against wanted persons to ensure that those who consciously disobey the law will be behind bars.
