IP community receives relief goods in SurSur town
TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur - The far-flung community of Sitio Lucnodon, Barangay Mahaba in Marihatag town, this province, an identified Peace and Development Zone (PDZ) barangay, received the relief goods amidst the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, information officer Lee Escobal of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) confirmed.
Escobal said the relief-giving activity is a partnership from TESDA Surigao del Sur headed by Dir. Rey Cueva, Philippine Army, the local government unit of Marihatag led by Mayor Justin Marc Pelenio and the TVET Association of Surigao del Sur (TVETASS) through the M&N Patorgo Ventures led by their President, Margaret Pacita Patorgo-Nunnink.

A total of 50 Indigenous People (IP) families or 300 individuals received the relief goods comprising of 10 sacks of rice, 250 tins of canned goods (sardines, and corned beef), 150 packs of instant noodles, and 450 pieces of eggs, which were all sourced out from the aforementioned partnerships.
