With the aim to address the needs and continuously guide the former rebels (FRs) in the province of Agusan del Norte before their re-integration into the community, the members of the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTFELCAC) recently visited and interacted with the FRs in the province.

They led the blessing and turnover of the Halfway House Livelihood Training Center facilitated by the DILG Agusan del Norte.

The DILG Agusan del Norte and PNP Agusan del Norte also distributed gift packs and hygiene kits to the FRs as part of the weeklong celebration of the National Crime Prevention Week (NCPW) of the province.

According to DILG Agusan del Norte Provincial Director Ellen Vee Chua, the celebration was highlighted with the peace and development initiatives of the different offices in the government. Meanwhile, Gov. Corvera has recognized the importance of the training center in preparing the FRs for their reintegration into the community. “The province of Agusan del Norte is united and sincere in providing assistance to the FRs in honing their skills before their reintegration into the community,” he said.
