DPWH TURNS OVER ROAD CONCRETING PROJECT TO BISLIG CITY

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) 2nd Engineering District Office headed by District Engineer Noel Oclarit, facilitated the ceremonial turnover of the recently completed concreting of Piape Road and Bus Terminal Road to Bislig City National High School (BCNHS), Barangay Poblacion, Bislig City to the city government here held at the Bislig City Cultural and Sports Center (BCCSC). The said project is a 503-meter Piape Road and 228 meter Bus Terminal Road, which was funded under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of 2021 with a budget allocation of P7.1 Million and P4.5 Million, respectively. “Lain na usab na kalambuan sa dakbayan sa Bislig labi na sa mga sumasakay sa kalsada nga dugay na kining pangandoy sa katawhan. Magamit na gayud kini ug ato kining paga-ampingan (It is another development in the city of Bislig especially for the road riders/commuters, who have long dreamed of the people. It will definitely be used and we will take care of it),” Bislig City Mayor Florencio Garay said during his speech. He also thanked CWS Partylist Rep. Romeo Momo, Sr. for his support in the development of the city as well as the BUILD. BUILD. BUILD program of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for the benefit of the people of Bislig. Present during the significant event were 2nd District Rep. Johnny T. Pimentel and Governor Alexander T. Pimentel represented by Board Members Conrad C. Cejoco and Ricky Sayawan, contractor Surigao La Suerte Corporation, Vice Mayor Jonas Cacayan, Committee on Public Works and Highways Chairman Edgar B.
