We have a comprehensive knowledge of our student audience and our advertising opportunities ensure our clients receive maximum exposure. 2020/2021 outlook We are excited for the academic year 2020/21 and although campus will feel different, we are still able to reach our 30,000 students. Cardiff Students’ Union building will still be open 24/7 with activities taking place daily. With lectures taking place in the building and a new permanent structure to our seating on the second floor we are confident that we will maintain a sustained footfall in the building. Whilst many physical elements of advertising, may have been affected temporarily we have seen an increase in our digital engagement across all of our streams of digital communication. We have seen an increase in our followers across our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram over the last year, for example our Instagram following has grown by over 30%. Furthermore, our email marketing which is sent to over 25,000 students has seen an increase of 55.7% in open rate over the
course of the academic year. In addition, we continue to drive a high volume of traffic to our website with over 530,000 visitors a month. With all of this in mind, we are confident that we will be engaging with our students this year as successfully as we have in previous years

These students automatically become members of Cardiff University Students’ Union when they enrol at Cardiff University. This gives us direct access to this diverse group. Whilst many physical engagements are restricted due to the current pandemic we are offering additional opportunities for your brand to be seen on site. Venue hire Cardiff Union Services Limited (CUS Ltd.), manage a purpose built facility in the centre of Cardiff, operating cafes, shops, bars, events and venue hire that help fund CUSU’s charitable activities. Whatever your event, CUSU offer first class, versatile facilities for hire. Our experienced events team have a wealth of knowledge to ensure the highest standards of quality, service and presentation from initial contact through to the day itself. We have a choice of venues available to hire. From a small meeting room for 2 people up to our Great Hall that can accommodate up to 300 guests, each offering a range of layouts from theatre style to cabaret.
Each main room – whether tiered or flat – has integrated IT and audiovisual equipment, including computer or laptop, projection, screen and a flipchart. Each venue also offers additional space to complement your main room whether this is for registration, breakout space, catering, networking or a small exhibition.
