Social prescribing Social prescribing is a service provided by your local GP surgery and can link you with a range of local, non-medical activities, opportunities and support that can improve your life and help you live life to the full. Whether you need help at home, want to discover more about local activities or find out about benefits and support services, Social Prescribers can help you. Each GP surgery will have a Social Prescriber as part of its team, also known as a Community Link Worker or a Community Connector. Speak to your surgery and ask to be put in contact.
