WORKSHOP LEARNING OUTCOMES
Workshops hosted by the Career Center is purposeful. Gain more than just networking opportunities and Q&A sessions. There are specific competency alignments and learning outcomes that will help you be Career Ready, which are listed at the beginning of each workshop category in this calendar. Career Management Identify and articulate skills, strengths, knowledge and experiences relevant to the position desired and career goals. Identify areas necessary for professional growth. Navigate and explore job options.
Professionalism/Work Ethic Demonstrate accountability and effective work habits (punctuality), working productively w/ others and time management. Understand impact of non-verbal communication.
Leadership Leverage the strengths of others to achieve common goals and use interpersonal skills to coach and develop others. Can assess and manage emotions of others; use empathetic skills to guide and motivate.
Teamwork/Collaboration Build collaborative relationships with colleagues representing diverse cultures, races, ages, genders, religions, and viewpoints. Can work within a team structure, and manage conflict.
Critical Thinking/Problem Solving Exercise sound reasoning to analyze issues, make decisions, and overcome problems. Able to obtain, interpret, and use knowledge, facts, and data in this process.
Digital Technology Leverage existing digital technologies ethically and efficiently to solve problems, complete tasks and accomplish goals. Adaptable to new/emerging technologies.
Oral/Written Communications Articulate ideas clearly and effectively in written/oral forms inside and outside the organization. Has public speaking skills; able to express ideas to others; and can write/edit clearly and effectively.

On-Campus Interview (OCI) Orientations Employers conduct interviews on-campus for the off-campus jobs they post in the Titan Connection Jobs Database. Attendance is strongly recommended prior to the OCI.
