The Associated Students provides for student governance, shared governance of the university, programming of student activities, funding of campus organizations and athletics, and the operation of a nationally accredited child development center. As an auxiliary organization, the Associated Students does not receive any funding from state sources and does not fund campus operations customarily funded from state sources. The Associated Students provides student development opportunities through leadership, volunteer, and employment experiences. In addition, the Associated Students provides campus community members with important social, cultural, and recreational opportunities, as well as, a wide range of programs and services.

The DEGREE Program is a comprehensive academic support program for student-athletes enrolled in support courses, and/or with a cumulative GPA of less than 2.5. Student-athletes have the opportunity to work closely with the DEGREE Program Coordinator, mentors and tutors, to support retention and graduation goals, as defined by NCAA and institutional measures. AAS are proud recipients of the NCAA Accelerating Academic Success Program Multi-Year Grant thanks to the creative objective based academic support provided to our student-athletes.

Provide an early childhood educational program for children from 3 months through 6 years of age. Provide CSUF students the opportunity to gain hand on experience working with young children in an educational classroom setting. For 50 years Cal State Fullerton has collaborated with the State of California to provide financial and academic support to students through the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). Each year, EOP admits a new class of up to 500 individuals-first time freshman and transfer students. Each of the participants enters the university with limited financial resources, but the desire to overcome all obstacles. Most importantly, however, every new participant understands that the highest achievement comes as a result of strong partnerships. Through your partnership with EOP, you will be equipped with the academic and personal tools to realize your educational goals.

The entire TRIO SSS staff is committed to guiding participants through a path of academic achievement, persistence, retention and graduation from CSUF. Program services are all offered to directly increase the academic, social and personal growth of each TRIO SSS participant.
