Christmas at Careys Manor Hotel is my favourite time of year; we are in a wonderful location in the heart of the New Forest and during the winter months the landscape is beautiful – you never get tired of the picturesque drive through the forest, past miles of heathland and ancient woodland and of course, our friends, the hardy New Forest Ponies. It is always a pleasure welcoming our guests into the warmth and comfort of our cosy Manor Lounge, which always promises a toasty log fire, the perfect setting to enjoy a warming glass of mulled wine and of course, festive Mince Pie. For those guests eager to experience a New Forest expedition, there are miles of walking routes and cycle paths to discover and we are always happy to help you find your way; explore local villages or guide you to one of the New Forest’s charming country pubs. If on the other hand it’s pampering and relaxation you’re after, I must recommend our award winning spa, SenSpa, which offers an extensive list of treatments for those looking for true indulgence or luxurious spa facilities for those of you seeking a Thai inspired sanctuary. As well as promoting relaxation, we like to encourage our guests to discover the delicious cuisine in our three restaurants; as unique and individual as our guests, there is something to suit every taste - enjoy exquisite fine dining in the Manor Restaurant, an authentic Thai feast in the Zen Garden or rustic French cuisine in Le Blaireau, Bar & Bistro. Christmas Eve Christmas festivities begin with a delightful yuletide afternoon tea whilst listening to the enchanting melodies of our harpist. Following your relaxing afternoon of indulgence our string quartet will welcome you through to the pre-dinner sparkling Champagne reception. At dinner, you will be spoilt for choice with three restaurants to choose from whilst enjoying the beautiful notes of the local choir filling the hotel with traditional festive hymns. Local churches are within walking distance. Wrap up warm and take a stroll to midnight mass.
at The Man r Christmas Day What better way to start Christmas Day than with a ‘New Forest Breakfast’ at your leisure in the Manor Restaurant. After breakfast, you have the option to take part in our renowned ‘Car Treasure Hunt’, devised by our Head of Concierge, Colin, for the chance to win a magnum of Champagne. Then, Christmas lunch, commencing with Champagne and canapés followed by a traditional sumptuous feast (vegetarian options available). In the evening enjoy our seafood buffet along with live music from our guitarist.

Boxing Day Say good morning to a New Forest Breakfast and then be inspired by a cookery demonstration from our Executive Chef. Perhaps take some time out for you at SenSpa, relax next to the pool with a novel or indulge in a massage. A Black Tie farewell Gala Banquet completes the perfect Christmas break with a live band, dancing and mouth-watering food. On Saturday 27th December, depart at your leisure reflecting on your unforgettable Christmas at the Manor. We will save your spot in front of the fire for next year!
