Carnival on the Runway (26th May): Carnival on the Runway set the stage for the Orlando Carnival Downtown weekend. This event combined showcased vibrant costumes, elaborate designs, and energetic performances. Participants took to the runway, embodying the spirit of Caribbean carnival traditions. J'ouvert (27th May): J'ouvert, derived from the French term "jour ouvert" meaning "daybreak," is a traditional Caribbean festival that takes place before sunrise. It is a lively and energetic street party where participants cover themselves in paint, mud, or powder, symbolizing the shedding of inhibitions and embracing of pure enjoyment.
